"Then I would not agree to this, I am sorry" Victoria said, holding eye contact with him.

It was a silent eye battle between the two for a few minutes, and nobody bothered breaking the silence until the lady who first came in, whom Victoria had later discovered her name was Shantel during the discussion between her and Eric's sister Amanda. Stood up and said she was in support of what Eric said, which made Victoria roll her eyes at her.

"You said I should go through the contract, and say what I want removed or added from or to it and this is what I want" Victoria said to the man who had spoken earlier on, who was Eric's lawyer.

"Fine, give her custody, and take away whatever privilege of dating whoever she pleases during the duration of the contract, she would not be permitted to see anyone unless I approve of the man" Eric said his eyes still on Victoria.

"No! I do not agree to that" Victoria said half screaming.

"Then what? you want to eat your cake and have it Vikki?” Eric said.

“Fine, have it your way as long as I have custody of my child" Victoria said, taking her seat once again.

"Well then, let's sign the contract"

Few minutes later the new contract stating that Victoria would have custody of whatever child her and Eric might give birth to, and of course that Eric most approve of whatever man Victoria would go out with was ready to be signed.

Eric and Victoria signed the contract then took pictures, and everything was done and over with, Eric's mother hugged Victoria and welcomed her to the family, so did Eric sister Amanda, and they took their leave.

While Victoria was still going through the new contract, Shantel came to meet her, when everyone else were busy talking.

"Hey, Victoria, let me make something clear to you right now, you are getting married to my husband. Definitely we are not friends, and never would be, so stay off my lane. Don't ever think you have any right to meddle in my and his business, understand? Or else you would regret ever existing"

And with that, she left Victoria, who was startled and speechless, she opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out.

"Cupcake, don't mind whatever that girl said, okay? she's just jealous of you. That's all" aunt Elizabeth said, rubbing Victoria s back.

"I know aunt, but how could anyone stood so low?"

"Many people do, c'mon let's go home I know I have explaining to do" Elizabeth said with a little smile on her face, she knew Victoria would want answers and of course she was prepared to give Victoria the answers she needed, it wasn't going to be easy but she had to.

When they all stepped outside the restaurant, Eric took Victoria’s arm in his, and opened the door for her to get in. He had not said anything to her, since they signed the contract and it bother Victoria. The ride to her house was a very silent one, Eric was busy making calls in different languages that made Victoria wonder how many he could speak. The driver played a slow music which made Victoria yawn every few minutes, she hated slow music because they made her feel sleepy no matter the time.

When the car stopped, Eric expected Victoria to get out, since they had arrived at her place; But only to find a sleeping Victoria, her head bent to one side.

For a few minutes he stared at her, she was beautiful of course, she made many men fall for her without her even knowing, she didn't need to apply heavy or any makeup to look beautiful. She looked innocent in every way, the heck he didn't deserve to have her. Every time he looks at her, he saw a fragile beautiful person that needed to be handled with care. Of course, he had no intentions of treating her like she was some fragile thing that could break any minute.

Why he choose Victoria for this contract, was cause he trusted her, which was very strange. Since he hardly trusted anyone but everything about her seemed you can trust me the very first day he laid eyes on her in that board room.

"Sir the madam is sleeping, should I carry her to her apartment?" Bruse, Eric's driver said, bringing Eric back from his train of thoughts.

The thought of another man carrying Victoria caused an unknown jealousy within Eric, a jealousy he never knew was there until now, when he thought of Bruse carrying his wife to be.

"I would break every bone in your body, if you dare touch her. I would carry her myself" Eric said, and came down from the car. He went over to Victoria's side, and touched her to see if she would wake up, but to no avail she was far gone. Eric carried her bridal style into her apartment, he knew she was now leaving alone. Bruse, on the other hand held the door open so he could enter. Eric took her to her room, which was dark but he managed to get her to her bed. The fragrance of her perfume was everywhere, which made Eric sneeze a little.

After placing her on the bed, he managed to find the light switch and turned it on, illuminating the place, he loved her room decoration everything was pink, although he found it too childish for a lady of her age, at the same time it was cute. He wrote a note and placed it on her lamp stand, he took one last look at her one, resisting the urge to kiss her goodnight, he made his way out of her room and house.

"What the hell is Victoria doing to me?"

He said to himself as his driver drove off to his apartment.
