Chapter 5 -MPC55

Robin Mulya : Giselle Anna Maria. Putri Amanda's boarding house, Jalan Harmoni Indah no. XX. +628123455677

Xavier's smile widened when he had just received a short message from his father's assistant. Turning around, he again grabbed the file containing personal data that Jonathan had previously given him. He was looking back at the contents, as well as looking at the photo of the woman carefully. Then, a low mumble escaped his lips.

"Giselle... Giselle... what are you exceptional about, to the point where daddy arranged for me to marry you? Many children of Papa's business partners are prettier and even more successful. But why was Xena like this chosen?" ?"

Xavier took a deep breath. Not long ago, the man grimaced at the thought of his fate, which was on edge. There is a sense of regret because the other day, he agreed to his father's request, who wanted to match him up.

He would be seen as an unfilial or disobedient son if he refused the request. Even though he has accepted his father's decision, the road is still winding. Imagine if Giselle refuses his invitation to marry, Xavier must prepare himself to lose the position he loves so much.

"Oh God, why are you trying so hard," he muttered again, closing his eyes.

"In life, there must be many trials, sir. If you have a few, try it."

Jonathan, who had been in the Xavier room earlier, commented. It's a pity to see his boss so dizzy right now.

"I'm just not sure that I can bring that woman to Papa, Jo in a week," Xavier complained later.

"Just be confident, sir. I'm sure that this challenge can be completed by Mr. Xavier."

"Not insecure. But, more self-aware. When it comes to things like this, I'm lazy to have high expectations."

"But, instead of guessing, it's better for Mr. Xavier to just meet the woman," Jonathan suggested. "After all, you don't have much time, do you?"

"What has been on my mind since earlier, if in the end I really have to meet again, what should I say to that woman, Jo? Why don't you just make an offer immediately and then ask for marriage. I might get beat up again because I'm considered impolite. "

Jonathan was silent for a few moments. Participate in thinking hard about the right action and what must be done by the boss to have a good impression on his meeting with Giselle.

Then before long, he remembered the simple old way. And it could be practised or tried by the boss.

"Just like this, sir. How about meeting you with Miss Giselle this time to apologize."

"I am sorry?"

Xavier's brow furrowed deeply. Why do you have to apologize to a woman who has been rude and even almost beat her up?

"What for?"

"First, for the behavior of the father who accidentally bumped into and stepped on Miss Giselle's important files. Second, for Mr. Xavier's disrespectful attitude because he had called him all sorts of things when he met Mr. Leonardo in his room."

"How come so many of my sins."

"Yes, that's true, sir," Jonathan answered honestly. "Usually, women will be impressed by men who want to apologize and admit their mistakes."

"But I'm really lazy to lower my self-esteem, I apologize first."

"Instead of failing and losing your position, it's better to lower your ego a little so it won't be a problem."

Xavier fell silent again. Anyway, from earlier, the man seemed to overthink. But it needs to be faster in determining or making decisions. It is very different when faced with work or precarious conditions when deciding to carry out leadership duties.

"That's it. Then I'll just meet him now."

"Do you want to go see Miss Giselle yourself?"

"No, Jo. I want to bring a group. Yes, it's clear by myself. Later, if it's crowded, it's thought that you want to invite a fight."

In the end, Xavier took a stand and made a decision. Hastily getting up from his chair, the man prepared to leave the room.

So, 30 minutes later, while driving his car, Xavier finally arrived in front of Amanda's boarding house. Even though he was confused and lost twice, he finally arrived safely.

Full of confidence, Xavier stepped out of the car. Luckily, when entering the yard, one of the residents had just arrived and was about to enter.

Xavier hastily confronted. Ask, then make sure in advance whether the place he is visiting is the place Giselle has been living in.

"Excuse me, sorry to interrupt. Does Gisella Anna Maria really live here?" asked Xavier awkwardly. How long had he been looking for addresses directly like this? Usually, he always took Jonathan with him. But, because he wanted to appear sincere, he deliberately did not bring his assistant along this time.

"Giselle?"

"Yeah, I'm looking for Giselle. She lives here, right?"

The woman in the pastel jacket nodded.

"That's right. Giselle does live here. But by the way, who are you?"

"I'm his friend," joked Xavier like it. He didn't even know who to introduce himself as. "May I meet you? You see, I have something important to talk about right now."

The woman smiled and then nodded. A moment later, he invited and guided Xavier to step into the boarding house building towards the living room.

"Wait here a moment. Let me check the room first."

The woman then left Xavier alone in the living room. While waiting, he chose to check his cell phone for a while.

Five minutes later, a woman's greeting was heard from behind. Turning reflex, Xavier got the figure he had been looking for and wanted to meet.

"Xavier!"

It was the first word that came out, and Xavier heard it. He could also clearly see how the woman before him expressed surprise at his presence.

"Sorry, my name is Xavier not Xapinky, Xamerah let alone Xaputri," the man corrected while standing, facing his interlocutor.

While Giselle was stunned for a few seconds, she came back to her senses, walked towards the guest sofa, and sat there.

"How did you know my address? Besides, what are you doing here?" the woman inquired questioningly. Of course, he was surprised to find the figure of the man who had caused trouble with him yesterday.

"Getting the address from doesn't seem important. After all, I came here to apologize in person."

Giselle Langas took a seat on the sofa. She stared in astonishment, then soon put on a doubtful expression. Thinking back on Xavier's arrogant behaviour, it was impossible for him to apologize to her.

"I heard right? Do you want to apologize?"

"If you think you have a problem with your ears, I can accompany you to the ENT doctor."

"You think I'm deaf?"

Inwardly Xavier sighed and then cursed himself. It seemed like he had said something wrong just now. It made the woman in front of him get emotional.

"That's not what I meant. I was just offering to help. Besides, you heard me right. I came here specifically because I really want to apologize."

"But for what purpose? Very strange." Giselle continues to bombard Xavier with lots of questions. As if unsure of the words of the man in front of him.

"Yes, because yesterday when I was at the office, I accidentally stepped on your important document. And again, I was talking carelessly when I met my dad in his room."

Giselle chuckled, then put a trivial look at Xavier. Honestly, he still doubts. But, because the man had taken the initiative to apologize, he tried to accept the apology graciously.

"Okay. Since your intentions are good, I'm sorry for everything that happened yesterday."

Xavier nodded, then smiled.

"Thank you for being forgiven. In the future, I won't be like that anymore."

"Okay," Giselle said immediately. "Then do you have anything else to say? If not, I want to continue doing my assignments."

Xavier was suddenly confused. This was the question he had been anticipating. It's impossible to meet and apologize, and suddenly he intends to ask Giselle to marry him.

“T-that… Th-um…”

"That's so, what?" asked Giselle curiously. Seeing Xavier's strange behaviour, he wondered.

"Actually, I'm here to apologize and at the same time want to invite you to dinner."

"Dinner? Do you want to take me to dinner?" asked Giselle to make sure.

"Yes."

Giselle looked confused. Smiling slightly, the woman responded to the invitation that the man in front of her had just expressed.

"Thank you very much. I appreciate your invitation. But, I'm really sorry. I can't."

Xavier immediately looked up. The man gave him a questioning glance.

"Why? Are you busy?"

Giselle shook her head.

"I don't usually go out or meet new people. Later, those who are there will be kidnapped." Giselle deliberately refuses. He was not used to going out with people he had just met. Moreover, this is a man.

While Xavier could only sigh, they were painstakingly looking for a way to coax the woman in front of him.

"Handsome like this, you think I'm a kidnapper?"

"How would I know. We don't know each other."

"Okay, then let's get to know each other first," Xavier said casually.

"That's not the concept either. Anyway, I can't accept your invitation. As for apologies, you don't need to worry. I've already forgiven you. If there's nothing else to talk about, it's better for you to come back. I have a lot of work to do."

Xavier then smirked. Giselle's words just now had a meaning like someone who pushed her away gently. Hastily stood up, he finally said goodbye.

The plan to invite Giselle to dinner failed miserably. He had to find another way to express his meaning even though it sounded unreasonable.

Xavier walked without interest when this morning he walked along the corridor of the Daxton building. As soon as he entered the room, he immediately sat on the chair. He was staring straight out the window. Look at the sky again, which looks bright this morning.

After just a few minutes of enjoying the silence, Leonardo appeared from the doorway. The man walked straight, then pulled a chair right before Xavier.

"How is the progress of the task that papa gave you? Have you got any results?"

Xavier took a deep breath. He knew his father was discussing the task of conquering Giselle's heart to accept his marriage invitation.

"Dad, can you just give me another wife? Or can you just provide a wife who is ready to be married?"

Leonardo chuckled softly. He knew his son would complain or be in trouble from the start.

"Why? You haven't given up on anything yet."

"How can you not give up. It's not easy to ask a woman you just met to marry. How come the grace period is only a week. If that's the case, then it's okay for Xavier to lose his position."

Xavier let out a resigned sigh. He, who previously did not have much experience conquering women's hearts, admits this shortcoming. His attitude that is too cold and a little picky makes the people around him also think of him as a figure that is difficult to touch and conquer.

"What have you done so far?" asked Leonardo curiously.

"Xavier has brought him directly to his residence. He has apologized. He has even lowered his self-esteem to invite him to dinner."

"Then, did she accept your invitation?"

"It's okay to accept the wedding invitation, Pa. Just ask for dinner, Xavier flatly refuses."

Instead of being compassionate, Leonardo laughed at what his son had told him. Not to mention seeing the expression that Xavier showed made him even more amused.

"You really suck!"

"Yeah, that's why Xavier gave up."

Leonardo chuckled. The man then straightened up, preparing to say something.

"Don't worry, Papa will help you to get close to that woman. But, you can only give this help once. The rest, you can do it yourself."

Xavier stared fixedly at his father. Pay close attention, then respond to the offer given.

"Do you really want to help me?"

Leonardo grinned. Folding his arms across his chest, the man smiled knowingly. It was as if he had a way out that his son needed right now.

"Later you will also find out for yourself. Now, it's better to just prepare yourself as best as possible."
