Chapter 4 -MPC4

Chapter 4 -MPC4

I don't know how many times Xavier took such a long breath. The man's right hand gently massaged his forehead, throbbing in pain.

Since last night, he has had trouble sleeping. He was very concerned with the task that his father gave him. Somehow possessed by a demon, Leonardo Massen suddenly arranged for Xavier to marry a woman he did not know.

Never mind that. I just met them once. And even then, the two immediately got into a heated argument. How do you even want to be husband and wife?

Xavier can't stop thinking, not to mention the time his father gave him only one week to conquer this strong woman's heart.

"Mr. Xavier, this is the file you asked for."

Opposite the man, Joshua, who is Xavier's assistant, was standing while carrying something in his hand. From last night, he was indeed ordered to learn a little about the background of the woman who will be betrothed to his boss.

"This is all I could get last night. The rest I will report soon."

Xavier, who had been daydreaming, finally realized. Looking up, the man of Chinese blood hurriedly gave an order to his assistant.

"Jo, you just read directly the conclusions of the investigation that you got last night. To be honest, I'm lazy to do anything right now."

Joshua nodded. That second also carried out the task Xavier ordered him to do. Start reading the essential points from last night's search results.

"This woman's name is Giselle Anna Maria. She is only 25 years old. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Communication Studies at a private university. She works as a freelancer in a digital company and is also pursuing the profession as a scriptwriter, scenario writer, and novelist. I haven't found a bad track record at all."

While putting on a relaxed attitude, Xavier nodded his head. Listen carefully to any information his assistant just conveyed—trying to remember and save what Joshua said just now into his memory.

All of this is important. At least to read the conditions and determine what steps Xavier needs to take after this.

"Giselle is also a social activist. She often makes campaigns related to social issues. The most interesting thing is that she is a black belt taekwondo athlete and also an archery athlete whose abilities are above average."

Xavier chuckled immediately. His facial expression instantly grimaced. Hearing Joshua's words, he immediately remembered yesterday's incident at the Daxton building.

"Oh, is he a taekwondo athlete? No wonder he was so strong yesterday that he was pulling my body. In fact, if you don't hurry up, maybe my neck bone would have been broken because he was beating me."

Joshua reflexively laughed. He also took a bit of the moment. How could Xavier, who has a more significant body than Giselle, lose so severely that he didn't even move when asked to fight yesterday?

"If I marry him, fix me, I will become a real Xapingky, Jo," continued Xavier. "Just imagine, suddenly made a little mistake, he immediately changed into 'XENA' and then took out his moves to beat me until I was battered into a cake."

Joshua laughed even more. Plus, seeing Xavier's expression made him shake his head even more. But, if you pay close attention to his boss, he does look distraught.

"Yes, if she becomes Xena, you can just change to Hercules. Let's balance it like that," Joshua joked, laughing.

"What a joke, you! Yes, go ahead, Jo. Read again what you got," Xavier ordered then.

"Giselle likes pastel colors. Loves Indonesian specialties. Easy to get along with. Has good public speaking ----"

"Wait a minute," Xavier interrupted. "Can you provide a little more important information. For example, where does he live. Who are his parents? How many siblings do he have, who is he close to now, what is his cellphone number."

"As for personal information, I haven't got it completely, sir. Last night, I just got a general overview."

Xavier sighed. He was thinking about approaching or attracting Giselle's attention if he didn't know the woman's important information.

"Then, if I want to meet him, how about it? Can't you take him to the campus or his office? You haven't even got your cellphone number, have you?"

Xavier's words have a point. Even if you want to hold a meeting, doing it on campus with an office is not excellent, as if there is no other place to discuss serious matters that are very private.

"Actually, sir, if you want it's easy for you to just ask Mr. Robin. I'm sure Mr. Leonardo would have already ordered his assistant to investigate the woman who wants to arrange an arranged marriage with Mr. Xavier."

Xavier was pensive. Consider for a moment whether you need to follow Joshua's advice. But, when he thought about it carefully, that was the only quick way for him to get information. Given the time given by the father is no longer a lot.

"Wait a minute. I'll just try calling Mr. Robin first. Hopefully he will share the data I need."

Xavier then reached for his cell phone. Look for a contact marked Robin Mulya there. Then hurry up. And luckily, the call was immediately responded to on the spot.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Robin."

"Good afternoon, Mister Xavier. Can I help you?"

"Look, sir. As Mr. Robin knows, Papa has a plan to set me up with the woman who met him yesterday in his room. So, I was given the task within one week of having to successfully ask the woman to marry. Here, I Robin really needs help."

"What kind of help did Mr. Xavier mean?" asked the man on the other side.

"Before, I would like to ask, did Mr. Robin investigate the woman's background? Because I am sure that it is impossible for a father to match his son to a woman without knowing in advance what kind of seed, bebet, and weight he is."

"Yes, before that I had investigated further who this woman was."

"Well! In that case, may Mr. Robin share the results of the investigation with me? Because to be honest, I am running out of time to do my own investigation."

"You mean Mr. Xavier asked me to share the investigation results?"

"Exactly right!"

"But, sir ----"

"Come on, Mr. Robin. Help me," Xavier pleaded pitifully. Where had he ever asked someone like this? "I don't have much time left. I'm really asking for help. If Mr. Robin finds it difficult to share all the data with me, just provide the woman's address and cellphone number so I can meet or contact her directly."

This time it was Robin's turn to weigh in. It made him uncomfortable to see his boss's child begging, asking for help from himself. However, leaking the confidential data that he had obtained was also not the right thing to do. Robin's dilemma, now.

"Pak Robin," Xavier called once again. "I beg you. Please help me. Just the address and cellphone number are enough."

A moment of silence. Meanwhile, Xavier is waiting eagerly. Finally, there was a coughing sound on the other side, followed by a deep voice from Robin, who spoke again.

"Okay, Mr. Xavier. I can only help tell you the complete address and cellphone number. For other information, Mr. Xavier can try to find it yourself."

"Ah, for God's sake. Thank you, Mr. Robin. I appreciate your help. In that case, I will wait for the information soon."

Yes!

Xavier cheered. Almost desperate, the negotiations he conducted with his father's assistant finally came to fruition. Five minutes later, the address and cellphone number that the man asked Robin directly were sent via short message.

Now, Xavier thought again. How should he approach the strong woman he is betrothed to?

Giselle seems very busy writing the remaining chapters of the novel storyline that she has been working on for some time now. Now and then, she saw the woman typing something on her laptop. Intermittently stop. Frown for a few moments, in the middle of stringing ideas that are dancing in his head so that they can be poured into an exciting storyline to read.

"Gi, you don't want to join this competition?"

Chelsea, Giselle's best friend and roommate came over to the woman who was now in the room—carrying a Xavier flyer in his hand. Then showed the paper to Giselle, who was busy writing.

"What competition?" asked Giselle without looking up. Her eyes were still focused on the laptop screen in front of her.

"The competition is to write stories and draw animations to be published on webtoons. The prizes are decent, you know. Ten thousand dollars for the first winner," said the woman enthusiastically and with whole emphasis when mentioning the total prizes that would be won.

"10,000 dollars?" Giselle repeated. "US dollars or Singapore dollars?"

"US Dollars, dear. It clearly says USD in this filer. "

"The prize is also great. Who's got it?"

"Daxton collaborates with DigiFame."

"There are other advantages, too," Chelsea added later. "The winner can become a permanent employee at Daxton. This is a dream. Instead of getting into Daxton, the selection is super-duper-tight, and rarely anyone gets through. Besides, that company has your idol, right? Mr. Leonardo Massen."

Giselle turned and nodded. What used to be expected now looks like it's starting to look attractive.

"When is the competition period?" she asked curiously.

Chelsea said nothing. Instead of answering, the woman pointed at the red writing on the bottom line of the flyer she had previously given.

"Ah, it's been quite a month. I think I can catch up," said Giselle later.

"Okay, hurry up and register. So you can enter the selection and selection process. The competition theme is also clearly written there. And I'm sure this theme will be the easiest for you."

Engrossed in telling stories, Giselle's room sounded knocked. Because Chelsea's position was so close, she quickly opened it and found their other roommates standing there.

"Bella, what's wrong?" she asked curiously.

"There are guests downstairs. He said look for Giselle."

Giselle immediately tilted her head, looked confused, and stood over.

"Guest? Boy or girl, Bell?" she asked to the point. But I'm also curious about who met her this afternoon. Just bump without prior notification.

"Guys, Gi," Bella said. "They dress neatly like bosses. Ride expensive cars too."

"What?"

Gisella and Chelsea were both shocked. They looked at each other and gave questioning expressions.

"Hurry up and check, Gi. Who knows, it's an important guest," Chelsea ordered.

Giselle then took off, then put the glasses that had previously perched on her sharp nose first. She stepped quickly to go to the living room immediately. While Chelsea and Bella also followed from a distance. They were also curious about who was visiting and wanted to meet Giselle. Just grow up. Because of all the residents, Giselle rarely receives male guests.

Once on the first floor, from a distance, Giselle did see a man wearing a navy suit sitting with his back to her. Curious, he stepped forward. As soon as they arrived, without much further ado, Giselle immediately sent a greeting.

"Excuse me, were you looking for me?"

At that moment, the man immediately turned towards the voice. When the two stared at each other, Giselle's eyes immediately widened. She knew exactly who the man in front of her was.

"Xavier!"
