Sofia laid on the bed engrossed in her phone or at least she pretended to be. She had a hectic day at work and worse when she got home and was trying to relax before sleep will come.

Different thoughts of what happened earlier in the day began to flash in her head.Thoughts that she tried so hard to wave off yet they kept on coming back.

Frustratedly, she switched off her phone and decided to take a walk or maybe have a glass of water to clear her head.

She hated to feel this way. She tiptoed to the kitchen trying not to wake anybody.She gulped down a full cup of water and then belched loudly.

Feeling a bit relieved, she walked back to her room and forced her eyes shut to be able to fall asleep easily.

Then the thoughts came again but she didn't fight them anymore.She allowed them in and allowed herself to wander off in thoughts.

Thoughts about the mysterious guy he had bumped into at work and spilled hot coffee. She remembered how they got lost staring into each other's eyes for what seemed like eternity.

When he touched her, she had felt a lot of crazy emotions run through her. It was the most awkward feeling she ever felt yet special.She didn't know what to think she felt but it couldn't have been love. Maybe some sort of infatuation or attraction that would go off before it even happened.

Besides, she didn't think it would be cool to consider it as love at first sight without being sure what or how the guy felt.

But she felt all giddy inside just thinking about his handsome face. Well, it didn't make sense thinking about him or anything related to him now because Ms Lex had reported her to her boss who warned her to stay off the guy because that guy would be dating her daughter soon as agreed by both families.

It was in the process she learned that the guy she had bumped into was no other person than Mr Lesley Vin, the new CEO and only son of late Mr Vin the richest man in the country.

All the giddiness she felt and the butterflies in her stomach vanished. Never a chance, she had thought sadly and promised herself never to think about that little incident she had with him or anything about Mr CEO but it seems sometimes, our hearts, minds and even environment can decide to have a mind of their own.

And there she was hoping they would bump into each other again and would probably fall in love like she had read in romance stories.

Sofia pinched herself to reality. She felt stupid for thinking there would ever be anything between them considering that he didn't even ask for her name. And that clearly showed that he didn't care about her nor felt anything when they met.

How can he even feel a thing for her when they are two worlds apart. She sighed and within a few minutes she fell asleep.

Sofia never had an easy life. Her father had been diagnosed with diabetes after he was involved in an accident that took part of his leg causing him to always seek support before he could move around.

Her mother since that time had taken the responsibility to cater for the family financially.

When Sofia finished her high school, she took up part time jobs to help her family and to also see herself out of university.

She also had to take care of her younger ones as she was the eldest.

A very beautiful girl, twenty two, tall with slender legs. She is quite curvy for her slim frame and possesses charming eyes one can't help staring at.

Nick sat across Lesley in a classic bar discussing. Lesley had described the few physical features of the lady he bumped into to Nick to find but he realized it was impossible for him to do so.

She probably won't be the only staff with brown eyes nor would she be the only lady with dark full long hair.

He felt stupid for not asking for her name. It would have been a lot easier for him. He decided to let it be and hoped he would bump into her again or something.

This time, he promised not to let her go without knowing her name and maybe a few things about her.

He had thoughts about her a lot. Her beautiful face has refused to leave his head. He felt he should have done more than just stare at her.

Lesley and Nick spoke about work. Lesley realized how much useful Nick can be. He practically knew everything about the company and many more.

His parents seem to trust him a lot and he has worked for them for a very long time. And he is very strong and able bodied to handle tasks that require strength.

It's no surprise, he had worked with the company with his father when he was alive.

"Look over at the other end," Lesley said into his phone as he raised his hand waving for Matteo to join them. Nick was about standing up to leave when he stopped him.

"Nick, I can trust you right?"

"Yes boss,"Nick nodded.

" Good. Sit with us."

Lesley motioned for him to stay.

"Dude you are so unbelievable! how about we celebrate your new position in a more lively place?" Matteo said mischievously while Lesley gave him a disgusting look and felt like slapping off the smug in his face.

"I wanna be more responsible so no strippers and wasting tonight."

"Whatever." Matteo rolled his eyes as he sat."Spill Les"

"Spill what?" Les asked, feigning an I-have-no-idea-of-what-you-are-talking-about look.

"Come on Lesley.The stupid questions you were asking me.What was it about?"

"oooh," He dragged the word curling his mouth into an O. "Forget it. Like you said,they are stupid."

They enjoyed the evening cracking jokes,drinking wine and eating tasty meals.

But Lesley was partially present. His mind was elsewhere imagining, picturing the beautiful lady. She has completely infected his mind.

He decided to gulp enough alcoholic wine to get her face off his mind. After some time, Matteo saw he was trying to drown himself with alcohol and decided to take him home.

"Dude that's enough already.You need to get home because you have work tomorrow."

Matteo said, dragging him up.

"Come on Nick, give me a hand, let's get him into the car."

Matteo and Nick helped Lesley to his car. Nick drove him home while Matteo drove in his car.
