Michael's POV

As I returned home that night- the joy in me was evident. Ebony kept glancing at me with curious eyes, but I didn't want to tell her until she asked me by herself.

Getting Liz was easier with our past- sincerely, I was surprised when she changed her tone toward me after I reminded her. Does that mean I have a chance with her?

"Okay, can you say something to me?" Ebony snapped. We were done having dinner and I was picking my teeth with a toothpick- smiling sheepishly

"Something like what?" I asked back and she glared harder at me

"Can you tell me why you're smiling?"...
