I sat on the couch with my legs tucked under me, munching on the last slice of bread Mia had brought over. My body still felt like it had been hit by a truck, but at least I wasn’t coughing up my lungs anymore. Madriod was pacing the room, mumbling to himself like some professor, while Mia sat on the floor flipping through a spell book that looked like it’d fall apart any second.
