Elsie's eyes followed Mia as she walked away, her heart heavy with sorrow and betrayal. She felt like she was watching a part of herself disappear, a part she could never get back.
As Mia vanished into the distance, Elsie's tears finally broke free, streaming down her face like a river. She collapsed to the ground, her body wracked with sobs.
