Love is not cheating….

Droplets of water could be seen on the window, the rain caused it. Aurora watched as the rain kept hitting across the window and afterwards leaving droplets there, she was fascinated, it made her forget her current predicament, she was 26, she had it all, or maybe she was supposed to, she had work an online work that paid her not less than 36,000$ by the end of a month, she had a husband, a workaholic husband, and she had a dream, tears came streaming down her cheeks as she thought of one liability, she was fat, when she walked down the street, be it in something sexy or daring, she would get stares, she would get comments, and she would even get backlash.

The thing about how fat she was is that, at first James her husband liked it, but recently he had started hating her, it was like she wasn’t even seen as a person again, often times he would get back from work late at night only for him to go out again, she’s caught him multiple of times sighing when she came to stand in the mirror stark naked, they’d stopped making love as a couple of months ago, the reasons he gave her were hurtful. “I cannot possibly have sex, with someone as big as you are” “there’s no space for me in there, the flab’s are too much” there was nothing she hadn’t heard from her husband these past few months, but that was better than not hearing from him again. Her husband James has stopped coming home, he didn’t even want to reach out to her, according to her sources he’s been going in and out of the office, it was almost as though he was dead, or she didn’t exist in his life anymore.

The thought of her not existing in his life again brought more tears to his eyes, she couldn’t stop the tears again as she let them roll freely down her cheeks, what’s the use rubbing them off when they would still find their way down her cheeks.

But that wasn’t all, few days ago she’d caught him talking in the sitting room, a certain woman’s name kept coming out of his mouth, and the smile his face held was quite broad, it contrasted the frown he usually held nowadays when he called her name. She wasn’t one to judge, so she usually kept quiet, but then it became too tough when he would usually come back late at night his shirt housing a multiple lipstick, it was like he did It on purpose, wanting him to see it, and when she confronted him about it one time he just said “whatever you want to see Aurora” Aurora cried that night as she felt her marriage coming to an end, she knew she was at loss, and she knew why, because according to her she has gotten so fat it called for attention, she didn’t want to weigh herself on any scale, for fear that she might faint.

A week ago she enrolled for a gym membership, after getting her gym membership card, she got a coach, who helped her train three days in a week, she’s seen a lot of improvement, she can walk better, and she can even run long distances, so every morning she would make sure to run round her neighborhood. Shed spoken to her best friend about it, and Susan plain out denied her being as fat as she thought, but her mind, and her brain told her different things, it was like she was living in a world of her own.

Aurora gently stood up from her chair, and began walking out of the masters bedroom, closing the door she walked down the stairs and went straight to the bar, she wanted something to drink, probably something strong she thought, on reaching he bar, she’s about to get herself something to drink when he eyes falls on something that looks out of place, a red lacy thong, her hands hang in the air, it was like she was finding it hard to breath, never has she ever thought she would come face to face with evidence, yes she had it in mind, she was even somewhat sure of it, but her seeing the evidence up front made it look to real. The love of her life was cheating on her, and he wasn’t even trying to hide it, uneven sobs were coming out of Aurora’s lips, she was shaken to the core, holding the red thong in hand, Aurora falls to the floor, the hot drink she so wanted to bury herself in forgotten. Her body shook with so much force; even her eyes had begun to take on a different shade of red.

“James” she screams out loud, her body shaking in response to her scream. Aurora cried, it was like the whole earth had given up on her. She cried till she fell asleep, her blonde her covering her face, she looked like a distorted maiden resting on the floor.

When she woke up, she felt like she was back to square one as thoughts came flooding back to her, recalling how she held the thong closely to her chest before she slept she looked down at her hand again, only for her to come face to face with the thong, her current worse nightmare.

Unable to keep her finding to just herself, she runs up the stairs and goes into the room in search of her phone, she wants to call Susan, her only other person in the world except James. Immediately her shaky fingers touch her phone’s hard surface, she shakily scrolls through her phone In search of her friends name on her contact list.

Dialing Susan’s name, tears find their way back to her eyes; it was like she couldn’t think straight. Susan picked on the third ring.

“he’s cheating on me, Susan” she spills out to her best friend, it was like the truth coming out of her mouth, opened up a door of tears because immediately after she says that she couldn’t stop crying.

Susan sensing her friend couldn’t talk at the moment decides to end the call.
