"You look like shit." Liam said it with zero hesitation. "Have you been sleeping well, Jaxon?"

I gave him an angry frown. "And you look like someone who’s begging to lose his Beta title."

"No, seriously," he continued. "Did Raven beat you again?"

"Shut up!" I muttered, while he chuckled. "Just tell me what else is going on."

Liam’s grin faded. He leaned against the edge of the table. "I already told you everything I have, the same things I said in front of the council."
