Why does it seem that this day would not just end with someone showing up to just ruin the remaining hours I have to leave school?

I turned my back and saw Monica at the door. "Well, well, what do we have here?", She said getting closer to the piano. No one in the school knows that I can sing except my best friends and I wanted it that way.

She showed me her phone, and the video of me singing was playing.

" Alright, what do you want? For me to stay away from Aiden. Fine I will stay away" I said.

I know some people might see me as a coward but I rather not have attention in my final year at Belleview high.

"You should keep that in my mind, Aiden is and will be mine", She said. "And if you don't cooperate, this video will go viral, I will sending it to everyone in school, and don't even think of telling your friends about it, you won't want anything to happen to them, "She threatened me.

I wonder how my dad never found out about what they do to me. They took away the car that he bought for me as my 16th birthday present. I can't wait to leave this place to go to university and stay with my BFFs.

She walked away feeling triumphant for what she said to me. How long will this last, doesn't she get tired of doing it?

Finally, the bell rings for the final class of the day. I entered the classroom, eyes staring at me. I know they are Aiden's eyes. Well so much for avoiding him. I take a seat beside AnnaMaria. She talked to me but fortunately, the chemistry teacher arrived. She gave me the look " you'll tell me later" kind of look.

As the class, we all went to our lockers, to get our stuff and to go home, except I had to go to work. I work from 3 pm to 5 pm after school. I could still remember the day Ruby demanded I get a job even though my dad has been earning enough as he is the CO-CEO.

"From now on you will start to work for you to earn a living," Said Ruby my stepmom.

"Why?" I asked her. That earned me a slap. Then she told me that no one in her house should live without earning some money for the house expenses. I wondered why she said that to me and her daughter Monica.

From that day, I worked at the diner that Annamaria's parents owned. But the salary, I get Ruby takes it saying it's part of my contribution to the house, yet my dad doesn't know. Because whenever he is home, they treat me with kindness.

"Could just drop me off at the diner?", I asked Anna maria.

"Sure, I need to talk to my momma about something, I hope that's okay with you Ley?", She replied.

"That's no problem, you know how much we love momma Bear", Replied Leyla enthusiastically.

"You love her or the fact is that you get free food from her?", Anna teased Leyla.

"Hahahaha!!, you know it chica", I replied laughing.

I love going to work at Momma's place because she is the best employer and the best mother. Singing loudly in the car heading there. What I didn't know was the drama to follow.

My mom and I hate that girl because she is her father's baby girl as he called her. Whenever he is around, I treat her as my loving sister.

My mom took the car after her father gave her the keys telling her she doesn't deserve it, giving them to me.

Reaching home, I walked through the front door hoping that Jake Adriana's father isn't home. Fortunately, he isn't.

"Hey, Mom" I called out. "I am in the kitchen", replied my mother Ruby. Yeah, that is her real name. "Guess what mom?", I told her.

"What happened?", she asked. "He ignored me again mommy, but don't worry she won't be able to be with him," I explained what happened to her in school.

"You need to be with Aiden no matter what, Honey and you know why you have to be with him, it's for your own good". She explained.

"Don't worry, mom I know exactly what to do when I need to make her life miserable", I told mom.

After the talk, I decided to go and have fun at her workplace. I called my friend up and told them that I would treat her out. She agreed and we decided to meet at the diner where she worked.

We arrived there, and we saw her and the two friends seated. I approached them, "Can we get some service here? I asked.

One of the waitresses lead us to the table, but being me, I sat on her side on the table.

The side she serves. Wanting to embarrass her in front of everyone there. "Hey, what can I get you?", She asked.

"Is the food here any good, or just plain?", Abby asked. Abigail Stewart, my friend dislikes Adriana because of some rumors I started.

Flashback: At the age of 16.

Abby and Adriana were friends along with Leyla and Anna Maria. One day, a rumor started.

It was about Adriana trying to steal Abby's boyfriend Theo, who had a crush on Adriana.

"Seriously Adriana, how could you?", said Abby angrily to Adriana. Not knowing what she had done, she tried to apologize to Abby. "Am sorry, but what did I do to you?" said Adriana.

"Well, you like my boyfriend Theo knowing he is with me". Said, Abby.

She then turned to slap her and tell other students that they should be careful of Adriana as she might steal their boyfriends too. But the ones who didn't believe her were Anna Maria and Leyla.
