Music, whether it's outside or inside we can hear everywhere and anywhere. It's can be what calms us down or what keeps us grounded. Music is an escape for many, through it they can be whoever they want to be.

Have you ever had a crush on the girl or even a boy next door? I have. Yeah, people see the exterior of me and then label me as a bad boy. Before you judge someone by how they are get to know them first.

Seeing the girl I liked for a long sing is kind of those moments where you would want to freeze or even just listen to her sing. This is how I felt about Adrianna but even though she doesn't even know that I have liked her since she moved in with her parents before her mom's passing.

Luke and Andrew know how I feel about her but they also know that trouble would start if Monica knew. Remembering her singing last night was the greatest moment of my life. And thankfully I got to record it.

Someone singing beautifully. I looked out of my bedroom window seeing Adriana singing alone in her bedroom while playing the piano. I have never seen her like this. I quickly reached out for my phone hiding behind the curtains and recording her singing. Damn, she sings great.

She didn't have any care in the world, she intrigues me. Suddenly, she stopped, because she hears someone calling her, it turns out to be her dad.

Her dads' voice could be heard loud and clear. Her stepmom always found a way to make her life a living hell.

The only time she ever was herself was when she was with her best friends. They completed her as she was with them. This year, I would like to get to know her more.

The present.

"Finally, it's senior year," said Andrew aka Drew, driving. I couldn't help thinking about last night when I recorded Adrianna.

"Dude, where did you go?" Asked Luke.

"Maybe he thinking of his girlfriend Monica", replied Drew.

"She isn't my girl and we never dated" I answered them.

"Then why does she tell everyone, that you two are a couple"? Ask Luke.

"Here we are", said Drew packing the jeep.

The only girl I kept thinking about was Adrianna.

Walking towards the school, I kept thinking, does she remember me? Or not?

Opening the school door, everyone seemed quiet. Then I saw her with her best friends.

Staring at her, not wanting to look away from her eyes. We ruled the school. I held my phone in my hand knowing that it had her recording.

Getting our schedules from the office. We all have the same classes except I have a free period after lunch. Heading to our classes.

"Alright everybody settle down please", Said Ms. Poppy. "Now before we start the year, I would like to assign you, lab partners, for the rest of the year", She continued. "And they are:

Andrew Jackson-Leyla Novoa.

Aiden Masters-Adriana Gonzales.

Priya Desai-Luke Bryan.

Monica Marques-Rachel Harper, and so on.........

Goans and moans are heard in class.

"There's no change in the lab partners I assigned", She said when she saw Adriana raising her hand.

" Take your assigned seats now, please so we could get started in today's lesson", She continued

"Just great, so much for avoiding drama." Said Adriana to Leyla.

Taking my seat next to her, I could see Monica looking at us with a scowl on his face, I wondered why.

Then I remembered what Luke and Drew said.

I saw how Drew was with Leyla. "Keep your distance, which means far far away from me," Said Leyla to him.

Damn it's going to be an unforgettable year.

The lesson went on without anyone complaining about their partners.

The bell rang signaling that it was lunchtime. Everyone rushed towards the cafeteria. "Hey Aiden, would you like to join me for lunch?" Asked Monica.

"No, sorry I have a date already, with her," I said holding Adriana's hand. Her eyes wide opened, as she glared at Adriana.

I know they are stepsisters but could she bit at least nice to her?

Pulling my hand away, Adriana walked towards Leyla who was waiting for her at the door.

"Don't ask", Adriana said to her. Monica was fuming mad, as she stamped her foot and walked away.

"Dude, what the hell did you just do?" Asked Drew.

"I told her the truth, that she needed to hear and not get her hopes up for something that might not happen". I said.

Don't give someone false hope of them getting into a relationship with you while they don't even have a chance. But what I didn't realize was that I gave Monica a free pass to bully Adriana.

This was going to be a year that we will all remember. The bad and good times.
