"Andi, can we talk?"
Andi stopped trying to drink her Margarita the moment I asked her. She looked at me with sadness in her eyes before nodding. "Of course. About what?"
I smiled scarcely as I sat beside her here on the bar counter. I noticed her simple glance behind me. "Ah, I'm not with Gon, Andi. He's home ... if you're looking for him." I said .
I told Gon to just wait in the car. At first, he didn't really agree because I was inside the bar. He said there might be an anomaly but I assured him that I will be quick.
I just really want to talk to Andi because I really feel like she was hurt this afternoon when Gon left her there at Freedom Park to follow me!
It's true that Thalia and Andi and I talked about meeting here tonight to bond and chikahan. But as far as I can see, an intense encouragement and in-depth discussion will take place.
Andi looks so broken, goodness!
She nodded as she smiled reluctantly. "I just thought," she said and drank her Margarita.
Amada gave me and Thalia a cosmo. "Tara, shot. Our Andi-girl was now chipped over Gon." she emphasized.
Thalia and I both accepted the drink and drank almost at the same time. In the middle of drinking, I simply glanced at Andi. Also looking for time to open the topic about Gon.
I was ready to open my mouth, so Thalia came first.
"Kuya Gon is your problem, Andi? Why? Until now ... you haven't been noticed, huh?" she frankly asked after lowering her glass.
Amada and I made a second glance then back to Andi.
Andi put down her glass and leaned on where she was seated and smiled awkwardly at me. "I didnʼt know that ... Alli and Gon became closer with each other? That fast," she said.
Thalia dodged my elbow. "Really? I mean --- how?" she curiously asked, totally clueless.
Didn't Gon tell his cousins that he is my personal bodyguard?
None of my own bit the skin inside my lower lip. "A-Ahm ... k-kase our new blockmates Gon, Thalia. And because we also sit next to each other and he only knows me, he has no choice but to talk to me." I explained then sipped on my cosmo.
Goodness.
"Your classmate ?!" and Thalia.
"Are you seatmates ?!" and Andi.
"He 's still studying ?!" and Amada.
I could almost hear their loud and simultaneous shouts of questions!
So not me, goodness!
I nodded lightly. "... yeah? Why?" I asked, unsure.
"Brother Gon got into UP? How? I mean, he didn't mention anything to us, ah!" Thalia asked, confused again.
Amada giggled. "It's cool ~! I hope I can meet your other cousin here one time, Thalia!" she wished.
In their reactions, I focused my attention on Andi because I couldn’t explain how I felt for her. I feel guilty. It hurts. Disgusted with myself --- the mess!
She smiled with bitterness as she stared at me. "...that's why."
My chest tightened as I stared back at her with equal intensity. "A-And I ... are you angry? Or n-jealous?" alalang tanong ko. "W-I just don't have Gon's presence, eh. Don't be sad, please?" hello here.
She laughed a bit. "Haha, what are you saying, Alli? Crazy, no!" she denied and pointed to herself. "What right do I have to be jealous, right? Pft. Don't worry about me. Gosh! That's just a man!" she said, but her eyes were not cooperating to hide her true feelings.
She really likes Daegon. My bodyguard.
"You know, Andi? If you like La Galliene you should tell me! I'll send four more home! Gosh," Thalia tried to pull a joke.
Amada giggled. "Oh, I bet there's one too! Enumerate their Thalia-girl names! Hihihi." trembling, said Amada.
I winced at her.
"Next time when Andi is okay. Look, oh. She's not okay. Broken brother Gon!"
Andi laughed. "Hahahaha! Are you serious, gowd! I'm not broken! Por que they don't pay attention to what they want, they have to be broken ?! If there's no label, stop!" he said and gulped again the wine he was holding.
Donʼt worry, Andi ... I will be the bridge to your happy love story!
Thalia and Amada made an apir before laughing out loud!
"Without a label, the assumption will stop!" They repeat the quote in the chorus.
Andi rolled her eyes at them and looked at me. "Don't understand me, Alli. I'm not sad. I'm not jealous. I don't have a prob either, okay? Stop thinking too that I'm ... broken and hurt. 'Cause I am not." she cleared.
"Andi, are you sure? Because ... that's not what I see of you. I mean..we're best friends, I'm worried about how you feel." I said.
She let out a deep sigh. "I'm fine, Alli. Trust me. Worry no more," he assured.
I was about to speak again but he stood up quickly after consuming the remaining wine in his glass. "I'm the first. We're having a fam dinner, hehe. Be careful coming home!" she bid.
"Andi ---"
"Bye!"
We could do nothing but watch Andi walk away and when it disappeared from our sight, we three friends looked at each other. They both smiled because of what Andi did. Meanwhile I was just shaken before consuming the cosmo.
We continued to talk, talk and drink even after Andi came home. We temporarily forgot to worry about how our friend was feeling. Instead, we enjoyed drinking and having a good conversation.
Until I decide to say goodbye because Gon might be bored in the car and what time is it?
"Be careful, Alli!" They say goodbye to Amada and Thalia.
I smiled and gave them a finger. "Sure! Haha! You also take care when you go home, ah? See yah ~!" I said.
I proceeded to walk out of the bar. Even before I finally got to the car that Gon and I were carrying, I was stopped by what I was currently seeing.
"Did I think ... Andi was home already?`` None of my own questions.
Yes. It was Andi and Gon. Talking about something seems like a very sensible and serious topic.
I hid myself behind this Black Ferrari and just looked at them.
How long have they been talking? From when Andi left inside until now?
I don’t know how many more minutes passed in my hiding as I watched them talk intently. But when I saw Andi walking away from Gon while in his car, I hid myself even more behind the Ferrari until I saw that Andi's car had finally left.
I composed myself before coming out of my hiding place ---
"Ah, shit! Gon ---"
"Tsk, tsk. Why did you just come out now? I've been waiting for a while," he said coldly.
I held my chest. Still unable to recover due to sudden shock. How did he know I was hiding here? And how is he able to act lightly ?! Goodness.
He snapped. "Alli, I'm asking you? Why did you just go out today? You know it's night, huh?" with irritation in his voice, he repeated his question.
"U-Uh ... because nothing," I said and scratched my neck.
His brows furrowed. "Nothing?" he asked accusingly.
I bit my lip as I lowered my gaze. "I mean --- enjoyed the drink! Talk! Not what you think, okay ?! Goodness! That's so not me, Gon. Err!" I defended immediately and headed back to the car.
"You and your mind, tsk." I heard him comment.
As soon as we got home, I said goodbye to him first in my room to take a half bath because I smelled of alcohol. He did not growl.
After thirty minutes, I finished taking a half bath. I was also able to get dressed and feel fresh so I went down again. Headed straight to the kitchen and there I caught up with Yaya Buns who was cooking dinner.
I first got fresh milk from the fridge before sitting down on one of the chairs. "Nanny, what are you cooking? It smells good," I asked after drinking the milk and putting the glass on the table.
He didn’t look at me because he was busy mixing. "It's funny, hija. Isn't this your favorite?" he answered and asked.
I smiled. "Yes, nanny! It's good and that's what you cooked. Because this afternoon Gon and Andi and I have to find something to eat with something cooked like that. That's why we went to Ellen's Fried Chicken!" I told the story and drank the milk again.
Yes. We continued with Ellen's Fried Chicken --- but Gon and I were the only ones because Andi must have been upset because Gon left her when I left them!
I just didn't tell Yaya because what was she aware of there, right?
I was in such a state when I felt Gon suddenly sit next to me and without a word snatched my glass of milk and drank it!
With shocked eyes, "Gon naman! Why did you drink my milk ?!" I asked.
He wiped his lips coolly then smirked at me. "Where's the milk?" he answered as a question.
My forehead creased. "Goodness! Milk in my glass, you drank it! First, milktea! Now it's milk! Can you get yours in the refrigerator ?!" my answer.
He played his tongue inside his mouth, out of disbelief. "Damn," he cussed.
I winced at him and stood up again so I could pour another milk on my glass!
I was halfway refilling the milk in the glass, Gon spoke, causing me to raise an eyebrow.
"Can you make me some coffee, All? I want coffee ... that you made."
I could see Yaya Buns glancing at us for a few seconds but also immediately returned to what she was cooking.
I walked closer to Gon again with a raised eyebrow. "What? Are you ordering me?" I asked, trying not to manifest sarcasm.
He stared back at me coldly. "Yes, I hope so. Is it okay? It looks like ..." he said.
"Looks like?" I asked with anticipation.
He then scanned my body then back to my face. "You look so delicious," he said with a smirk.
My eyes widened. "W-What's so delicious about that, huh ?!" I asked, starting to feel ashamed.
He chuckled. "It's delicious to brew coffee," he cleared. "All right ... do it now. Make it memorable, hmm?"
I don't know but it seems --- what he says has a double meaning! So not me, goodness!
I gulped. "W-What's up ?!" suppress the volume of my question here because the nanny might hear us.
He smirked. "Made coffee for me, young lady. Even a little, take care of me too. Tsk," he clarified again and shook his head.
I breathed a sigh of relief. "Why do you talk like that," I asked a little shyly. "All right, I'll make coffee for you. You're really sorry for me, ah?" I segway to our conversation.
I guess I have a dirty mind, eh!
Right after I mixed Gon's coffee, Yaya said that our dish was cooked!
It ' s dinner time ~.
I set the coffee down in front of Gon. "Here's your coffee." I said.
"Thanks," he simply answered.
Yaya prepared the food in front of Gon and me, as well as water with lemon before she said goodbye for a while to go back because she still had some laundry left.
"All right, Nanny. Thanks here!" I said happily.
"Sigi, be satisfied." he said and Gon left us.
Halfway through Gon's meal, I suddenly remembered what had happened earlier. So after I drank the water, I presented my chair slightly to him before talking to him.
"Gon," I called.
"Hm?"
"Why did you answer my paper earlier when we were quizzing, huh? What if Miss notices that! What if you get low scores ?!" I suddenly exclaimed.
He drank water first. "So?" he had no answer.
I let out an amused sigh. "What are you doing ?! You might fail, idiot! Maybe we'll go to college ?!" My question is a bit sarcastic here.
He showed me a smile, and sneered one. "I don't really care if I get low scores or high damn grades, young lady. The important thing here is, it's not you who will fail. That's my goal," he replied.
Is he crazy? What, he's just going to waste tuition per sem ?!
I looked at him with disbelief. "What's the purpose of studying then, huh? When you're studying and tuition is expensive, you should just study well, Gon! And because of what you did before ---"
He cut me. "I know what I'm doing, Alli. Stop griping 'cause what I have done is all for your goodness. Huh," he explained.
I gulped.
Why does he speak like this? I can't understand him.
I sighed. "It's just a concern with your studies, eh." I said.
He smirked coolly. "It's okay with me, young lady. You're concerned for me as your guard." he said.
I was stunned by what he said. There was a feeling that seemed to lighten my mood. I can’t figure out where it came from and why I felt that way.
So not me.
I just dismissed the weird feeling in my mind. Instead, I remember the scene between the three of us and Andi at Freedom Park.
"W-What else did you say to Andi earlier in Freedom Park when I left?" I ask carefully.
I'm also a little guilty because I tried to bring him closer to Andi, eh, he really doesn't want to.
But because my bestfriend and how she feels are important to me, I still force him to make her happy.
He was silent for quite some seconds but when he recovered he avoided looking at me and chose to stare at the transparent glass in front of him.
"Don't worry, I didn't tell her hurtful words. Just a simple explanation," he said.
I stared at his side view. "Y-You did that? For real?" I asked, preventing myself from smiling.
He nodded then sipped on the coffee I had made for him. "Yeah. You might get angry because I hurt your dear friend," he said.
Goodness! My cold guy bodyguard has a heart!
On second thought, why did Andi still seem broken when we met earlier there?
Ah, maybe it's just because he still can't finally get Gon? If that's the case, she shouldn't worry too much because I'll help her with Gon, e.
"H-Hehe ... thank you, Gon!" I said. "... but why did I see you talking in the parking lot of the bar, huh?" I wonder here.
He turned his eyes to me again and met his eyebrows. "Do you really have to know everything? You should ask and I will answer, young lady?" he asked, with a hint of irritation.
I averted my eyes before shaking. "I-I told you, no. I'm sorry. Very angry? Want to hurt?" I asked wryly.
"What?"
I looked back at him and smiled hard before pointing to his coffee. "I said, for whom are you getting up?" I will ask.
He played his tongue inside his mouth, indicating that he is controlling his temper. "Are you fooling me, huh? Young lady?" he asked.
I chuckled. "I'm just asking you who you're getting up for! Because you're having coffee, or. Pft." I seem to be asking a serious question.
He looked at me. "Hey, you? Once you sip on your coffee ... for whom are you getting up?" recovered, he asked.
I grinned. "I'll get up for an allowance!" my answer.
A moment of silence after I said that. We both stared at each other until ...
"Damn," he suppressed a cheap smile.
"Hahahahaha! Gon, every student will get up for their allowance in school, 'no!" I said laughing.
I will admit he is handsome, especially when smiling. But he would be more handsome in my eyes if I could see for myself the wide streak of smile on his reddened lips.
If so, my face was barely on his face. "You're handsome Gon when you smile. So maybe Andi likes you more, eh." I comment.
Less than a second later, Gon returned his expression to cold and useless emotions. "Distance yourself, young lady." aniya.
Instead of listening I moved my chair even closer to him, keeping the smile on my lips. "Smile, Gon." I said.
"No,"
I giggled. "Easy! I'm your boss so you'll follow my wishes, Gon."
He snarled as he looked deeply into my eyes. "Tsk, tsk. When I say I don't --- I don't." he answered authoritatively.
Kj!
I pouted. "It's easy --- oh, maybe you still want me to comply before you follow what I say? Haha!" I pissed at it and poked his smooth cheek. "Smile, Gon!" I still try.
He averted his face so I wouldn't poke his cheek again. "Damn it, Alli. Could you please stop? Itʼs annoying, tsk." he disobeyed.
And because I was a great rebuke, I forcibly touched his both cheeks and closed them in my palms. "That's a smile ~."
His brows furrowed. "Alli, stop it." he insisted again so I laughed. "Tsk, young lady!" He was so pissed that he was really disobedient and tried to keep his face away from my hands but I didn't let him. "... damn it." He's cussed.
"Smile! Look at me, I'm smiling!" I said and smiled at him completely. "Don't you know a smile is nearly inspired by another smile! So you should always be smiling!" I denoted.
With one quick motion, he was able to grab both my hands holding his handsome face and stare at me more deeply than before.
My smile faded ... little by little, causing me to gulp. "H-Hehe,"
"Do you want me to smile?" he asked, challenging me. "Huh, young lady?"
Goodness ...
I nodded. "Y-Yes, you're more handsome when you smile, e. Hehe." I just laughed. "Can you smile, please?" I still try.
He then bit his lower lip. "Kiss me. Hard. Can you?"
I gulped.
My heart started pounding because of what he said! I couldn't speak right away because of that so my lips just felt pity!
"Weak,"
Not on my own I moved away from him and withdrew my hands he held once shoulder to face.
So not me ---
"Never ask me to give you a smile, young lady." he nodded so my attention returned to it.
"H-Huh?"
"'Cause I will smile initially just to make you ... damn happy," he said.
Then smiled at me genuinely!
