My charm would wear off on a woman named Michelle, but not on Deborah.
I almost strangled Vladimir for saying negative feedback about the decoration I made. I have never experienced being insulted, but now it still comes from this man. He smiled as if it meant to annoy me.
“Do you seem familiar? Have we seen each other before?" It asked me.
Deborah's nose seemed to smoke at Vladimir's question.
Is the look I have too old-fashioned for him not to remember?
“Well, it’s not nice to see you again, Mr. Smith. This wedding is for a new generation, so it looks like this. I doubt that you will be stuck with the historical years." I said while I was still smiling in front of him.
I will not back down from this man without a fair fight.
My face was blank as I stared at her.
I would have spoken more if Scarlet hadn’t preceded me.
“Everyone, let's start with the rehearsals. Brother, just practice, or else I will forget that we are siblings."Said the woman,
"I'm just here, Princess." He said to his sister and winked at me.
I feel like I will fall for what this man did.
So much of his playboy’s tactics! And the man approached me.
"How are you?" He asked me in a gentle voice.
“You're too much of a great pretender, you know me, but I don't think so!” I said to him in a hard voice.
“Easy, Miss Deborah, you don't have to shout all the time. You will lose your cuteness." He told me, grinning.
"I'm sorry for what I told you earlier." He told me
“Excuse me? You don't seem sincere in what you say. And I see something different in your eyes."
“What do you see?" His forehead furrowed.
"Do you want to know?" I challenged him to my question. He even smiled foolishly.
“Try me, then.” Vladimir response.
“Listen to what I have to say because I will not repeat it. I think you hate the whole world.
"You just pass on your frustration in life to everyone. You’ll try to turn the women you meet into toys because you want to divert your attention so you can be happy and recognize yourself as a playboy. Because you want to forget something in your past. Why not try to look around and find someone who will take your time and attention? You don't have to be bitter in life and waste time on trivial things." I told him.
“I admire you, but when you can speak, it's like you already know me." He said to me, frowning. Deborah thinks that what she said to the man was too much because she saw the bitterness in the man's voice.
"Is that all?" it asked me.
"I told you everything, Mr. Smith, so there’s nothing left." My answer.
“By the way, how's your hand?" It asked me.
"Well, okay, I just put on a scar remover so I was able to work properly." My answer.
He smiled but did not reach the eyes. Maybe because of what I told him.
“You're so quick to get angry, Deborah. I'm sorry for what I said earlier.” He said sorry in a sincere tone.
“It's okay, Mr. Smith. Please tell Miss Scarlet that we’re leaving. Let's go, Michelle." I said while pulling my assistant.
I shuddered as I stared at Deborah's receding figure. I hadn't moved from what she had told me earlier. I couldn't catch her words that exploded in front of me like a bomb. Am I being too obvious?
No one else knows what I'm going through in life except my sister and friends, but with that woman, it's just that it's easy for her to talk about me as if she already knows me.
I have never had a woman teach me what I can do in life other than her.
Deborah had left, but she was still on my mind. The woman had a resemblance to his past. How ironic, I thought. I could not understand how it felt when I heard the words of love from the newlyweds.
They vow to be together forever in hardship and comfort.
And it was as if I could not breathe to witness the happiness that was imprinted on the faces of my loved ones who had once sworn in front of the priest.
I'm thankful Eleanor didn't bother. Because I don’t want that my sister was embarrassed in the whole world. My sister was overjoyed. But why am I'm so discouraged? Earlier, I was snuggling under a mango tree inside our mansion. I apologized to my companion, Ellie, because I was disgusted with her behavior. It has no other subject but its beautification. And I looked away for a moment because I heard someone crying in the distance, and I saw a woman who had turned away from where I was, so I could not even see my face. I stood up and walked over to the woman's seat, and I sighed at who it was.
It was none other than Deborah. As Deborah watched the newlyweds, I couldn't help but cry. My chest tightened as I listened to the two swear. I was just a human being to feel jealous of. Charles and Scarlet are so perfect for each other.
And at once, they swore to be together for life. I also hope that I can find a man who will also truly love me. And suddenly, I was stopped by someone who suddenly spoke behind her.
"They're too dramatic, right?" he asked her, turning to see it was Vladimir. Am I so overwhelmed by what she sees that she doesn’t notice him right away?
"What are you doing here?" I asked him, while the strength of my heartbeat was like jogging inside my chest.
I wonder if when this man is around, I feel uneasy.
"Shouldn’t I ask you the same question? "Shouldn't I?" he handed me a handkerchief. I didn't accept it because I was ashamed of him. After all, he found me crying.
"There's no need and I'm not talking to strangers," I said while frowning.
He even laughs out loud.
"Strangers? We met for the third time, but this is the worst one because you are crying." He said while smiling.
“You’re so emotional to behave like that. What’s more, if you’re the one who got married maybe you’ll crawl for too much crying.” He said, grinning at me.
“Damn you! You better leave in front of me or else I’m going to punch you."
I send him away and tap his hand. But he did not move instead he sat next to me.
"What are you doing here?" He asked me again.
"I supervised my staff," I said.
"Really?" My answer amazed him.
