SHE LOST HER JOB AGAIN

Early Monday morning, Flora's assistant knocked on her door, looking slightly overwhelmed.

"Flora, the lead investor from Whitmore Global Holdings is here for the partnership meeting."

Flora frowned, glancing at her desk calendar. "That's scheduled for Wednesday at 1:00 PM."

"They moved it up. Said it was urgent," her assistant explained. "Mr. Cole already showed them into the conference room. They're waiting for you."

Flora squeezed her eyes shut, let out a heavy sigh, and quickly gathered the presentation folders she had long kept in place in preparation for that day. Smoothening down her blazer, she hurried down the hall.
