Killian's eyes become apologetic.

I understand your wolf might have pushed you to come over, but that's not an excuse. Isabelle is your mate now, not me," I said, making my voice a little louder. 

I was surprised that it didn't hurt me to be so blunt about it. There was a twinge of sadness in me, but I was hollow once more with my wolf gone...
