Like, I am dependent on you, Bennett. You should care about your fiancé, Sandy, and stay out of my business.” Hazel said with a stern face not believing a single word that came out of his mouth.
“Huh… It’s useless to talk to you.” Bennett shook his head in dismay and again the atmosphere went quiet between them.
It was late midnight. The night was picturesque. The moon, a glowing yellowy white, loomed large, surrounded by an ethereal glow making the night more idyllic while a man and woman walked matching their steps.
From afar, people would compliment the couple who looked opposite yet attractive to each other but in reality who knows that none of their assumptions are true nor near to the reality at all?
After walking silently for a while, Bennett and Hazel finally reached the gas station to fill the fuel tank of the motorbike.
Hazel knew she was out of money at first, she hesitated to ask for the money from Bennett but then got completely surprised when he didn’t even look at her once regarding anything at all.
He filled the tank by himself and even paid for it silently, not showing any right to her or making her feel obliged to him at all.
“I want to grab something, do you wanna come?” He offered politely to Hazel.
Hazel was thirsty and hungry too as she followed him inside the shop and they bought snacks and drinks.
Hazel sat at the footpath on the side and then started eating heartily, she was indeed hungry. Bennett couldn’t help but watch her in amusement.
The man who has always considered a graceful woman rather than a careless mess is now completely bewitched by a woman who cursed him hates him and does not show a single cent of respect to him.
He sighed helplessly, she had no idea how beautiful she looked when he saved her from drowning, just now how beautifully calm and satisfied she looked while filling her hungry stomach.
Her black dress makes a good contrast with his white coat which still has her handprint on them.
Hazel has no idea how anxious he was when Sandy told him that she had fled from the mansion, alone and also so late at night.
There were thousands of negative thoughts occurring in his mind for her, he knew he had never been protective of any woman but for her undoubtedly he was tonight.
Worried as hell.
Bennett Jackson is a person in front of whom many women have bowed but now it seems like fate has brought the time where Bennett has to bow in front of Hazel, but how?
“I am leaving.” Hazel’s voice brought him back from his reverie and he looked at her, stunned.
“Where?” He asked.
“Anywhere, but not back, definitely, not yet.” She told him and then took off his coat but Bennett simply shook his head, “Keep it with you.”
Bennett knew there was no way he could stop her and forced her to go with him, hence he should let her go for the time being as he is satisfied that she is safe and okay.
He then took out her phone that she had left in the villa and handed her, “Keep in touch,” and then he added, “Please.”
For some reason, Hazel wasn’t able to argue with him on this as she silently took the phone from his hand and then muttered a small "thank you" to him which is quite shocking for Bennett.
He didn't expect to hear these two words from her mouth, not at this moment definitely.
He passed her a smile and hurriedly Hazel hopped on her motorbike and soon vanished from his sight.
Sighing, Bennett called his driver and then sent him his location as his car was parked far away and he was not in the mood to walk back a mile to get back to his car, alone.
Hazel wasn’t even generous to drop him back but at least she muttered thanks to him that brightened his heart.
The night passed away quickly and as the morning sun’s rays reflected on the ground, a petite woman slowly parked her motorbike behind the bushes hiding it nicely, and then climbed the wall to get access to the Michael Villa.
Hazel has been riding her bike near the area all night as she had no place to go. She was looking for an opportunity to get inside the villa and finally she did get the opportunity.
The villa was extremely quiet, which means all three monsters have gone to sleep and so has her grandma. She looked for a way to get to her room from the outside as she knew that the witch, Betty, had surely locked all the doors of the house.
So instead of going to each door and trying her luck there,
She gave a long thought to how she could climb such a height without any rope, and finally, she came up with an idea, she walked towards the backyard and then looked for the pipe that Albert used to water the plants daily.
She skillfully dragged it under her room’s balcony and with all her strength she threw it towards her balcony and thankfully it got stuck between the railings. She pulled it tightly to check if it was strong enough to bear her weight and gladly it was perfect.
Taking a deep long breath, she started climbing the space and soon she got onto her balcony with a triumphant smile on her face. She quickly took out the pipe and threw it far away into the backyard.
Once she safely got inside her room without making a single noise, she discarded her clothes and took a long warm shower to refresh her body and her mind, and then with a tired and exhausted body, she fell into a deep coma forgetting about the world that existed around her.
