“Hazel.” Granny looked surprised when Hazel entered her room so early in the morning and before Granny could utter a single word, Hazel threw herself in her arms and started weeping silently.

“Hazel…” Granny called out gently, her hands caressing her hair softly.

“I didn't sleep last night, Granny… I want to sleep.” Hazel told her in a hoarse voice not raising her head to look at her.

Her Granny sighed in relief when she heard her words, “Ok, dear, sleep here.” And with her soft voice, she sang her a lullaby which calmed Hazel’s palpitating heart, and soon she was lost in the depth of darkness.
