"I don't know how we didn't meet before," she shrugs, skipping a step in response to that memory.

"I never really went to conferences. I'm usually at different backs acting as the middleman for arguments or disagreements among officials," he grins, sliding up beside her and wrapping his arm around her waist.

"Why aren't you there now?" She asks curiously, looking up at him as they walk, avoiding fallen branches and logs.

"I'd rather be here," he winks, "and no issues need my attention right now."

She laughs at his admission of having nothing else to do, shaking her head teasingly at him.
