We leave the house, and Edwin reaches out his hand, which I gladly take, entwining our fingers. We arrive at his parents' house, Edwin opens the door, and I follow him inside. We head to the living room, where his parents are waiting.

Edwin: Good morning, parents.

Both: Good morning, son.

Nikki: Good morning, in-laws.

Both: Good morning, daughter.

Lisa: What did you want to talk about, son?

Edwin: I proposed to Nikki last night.

Lisa beams with excitement and hugs me. Matt offers his congratulations.

Lisa: Have you thought about when the wedding will be?
