My gaze fell on the corner display case where a glittering diamond necklace sat inside a glass dome, spotlighted like the crown jewel it was. Xander stood there, posture proud and arrogant, with Ella curled on his arm, looking far too smug for someone who poured a bottle of wine on another woman an hour ago.
Hearing Carlos’s calm response, he laughed bitterly. “Of course you think you can. Always the judge, jury, and executioner of the Ledger legacy.”
