Not too long after, Michael got home. He met Jane already sleeping. So he thought, but in the actual sense, Jane wasn't sleeping. She was just lying on the bed, pondering whether it will be proper for her to ask Michael about the car she saw or not. She finally concluded that it would be best she ask because alot of things appear in a form and later on may realise it isn't.
