“It’s good that you listen to me, Sophie!” I grabbed her neck and pushed it over the bed as I continued to thrust into her from behind. “Running away from me is pointless, because, momma—”
“You can’t run from Vincenzo. I will always come back for you!”
I know my words sound like a command, and it must be infuriating that I accused her wrongly and still didn’t offer an apology. Maybe I should bring some stupid roses and red wine to top it all off with a few silly notes?
