Against her will, Lesley did not go to school today to talk to her rebellious older brother. His mother-in-law forced him to negotiate because otherwise it would drive him away and eventually reject him.

He was upset but his love for this family was still there. Especially now that he knew what was driving Amanda's anger towards him. Her real family killed Patrick's father and grandparents. He knew that the child should not pay for the sin of the parents but he still had a guilty conscience and wanted to make up for all the grief he had experienced.
