Chapter 2 Mental Hospital

Chapter 2 Mental Hospital

C. 2.1 "V-03"

When it is said mental hospital, it is home to people with mental illness. People who can no longer cope with the overwhelming problems of life or who are not able to have such a disease are etched in their DNA. It makes you wonder what the limitation of one's brain is or how strong a person is to endure traumas, hearteaches and depression.

So when Lesley entered the room with the red door the first question that came to her mind was what did this person go through to get into this situation? Because in front of her, is the boy behind the red door, quietly sitting on the floor with his back against the white wall and in chains.

His eyes hovered over the entirety of it. The man's feet and hands are chained. Its radish skin is so white and pale that it is almost the same color as the white shirt it is wearing. Its long black hair covers its mysterious face but he can see its eyes as black as night and as fierce as a tiger. He is like a predator eyeing on his prey. His eyes ... they were wild, and full of mysteries. It silently watches them in a corner.

He was swallowed. He can not believe what he is seeing. Inside this cold room was a man chained like a wild animal. What did he do to deserve this kind of treatment? Yes it is crazy and perhaps dangerous to other people or to oneself, but does it seem too much? And is it still legal? Her chest clenched in pity for the man.

He almost held his breath as they slowly approached it. He clung so tightly to the strap of his sling bag when they stopped in the middle of the room. Her chest grew heavier with each second she stared at the man. Then here is your feeling that he can't figure out. Ever since she stood in front of this room, she felt uneasy. She felt heavy and uncomfortable.

He could not understand why every part of his body felt its presence. It was as if a cord was connected to the two of them.

"Don't look him in the eye. You don't want to get yourself killed, do you?" he heard Mrs. Somewhere as her eyes stared at the pitiful man.

He turned to himself from the stupor and blinked to look at Mrs. Dapit. "W-what?"

"I said, don't stare at him. He can hypnotize you then he'll tear your limbs apart. And those chains won't stop him if you cross the yellow line," he said then pointing to the floor.

She looked down to see what Mrs. Dapit was pointing at. She saw a straight yellow line dividing the room into two. "That's as far as the chain goes. So when you pass, you're dead! He's an extremely violent patient so he's chained."

She couldn't help but look at the man again despite Mrs.'s warning. Place not to stare at it. He looked again at its chains on his feet and hands. He said it was dangerous so he was tied up. But is that enough for such a deal? He is sick. He needs help, not this. It may even make his mental illness worse.

He appeared again to Mrs. A place full of wonder at what it said. "You say, he can hypnotize me?"

"Yes, and I'm not bluffing."

He frowned in doubt. "How?"

The old man's ear seemed to tingle at his question because his eyes narrowed and he saw the veins in his neck again. "Stop asking too many questions Miss Madrigal," he said emphatically. "All you have to remember is don't stare into his eyes, don't cross the yellow line and clean this ward an hour before you go home!"

He frowned and bowed. It made him angry again. Is he too curious? "I'm sorry," he said sullenly. He swallowed before speaking again. "So-what about the hours before I clean up? What am I going to do?" he asked when the conversation changed. It was as if he was about to grab her when she asked about the man.

C. 2.2

It was unbelievable to stare at his face as if there was something wrong with his question. "Are you kidding me ?!" It shook slowly and then took a deep breath and sighed. "You got to be kidding me! You really don't know ?! You applied without checking the job description ?!"

She closed her mouth in shock at its reaction. Why is it angry? There was nothing wrong with his question. But it was right in the part that he didn't know what he was really going to do with it. Her mother just said she was a janitress. What else is he going to do here besides cleaning? Janitress isn't it?

"Uhm, they told me, just a part-time janitress," she replied nervously.

The old man folded his arms and took a step back. "Unbelievable!" he giggled and then he looked at her sarcastically from head to toe. He also looked at himself.

"How about this. I'll tell you what you're going to do here then you can think if you still want to do this or not," Mrs. Dapit said then sighed again. "I want you to think carefully about it. This is going to be your last and only chance of getting out of here."

He didn't know what to say so he just nodded. But he was nervous to hear. He doesn't have a good idea about it.

It pointed at the man in chains while his head was still facing him. "You're going to be his nanny."

What he heard repeated in his brain. You're going to be his nanny ...

Both his eyebrows rose and his lips parted. She couldn't believe she looked at the man and then at the serious face of Mrs. Dapit. She can tell by her serious face, she is not joking.

He shook his head. His mouth wanted to say something but the words he wanted to say did not come out. He had not yet recovered from the shock when it pointed at his back.

"See that kitchen over there?"

He pondered what it taught. A small kitchen. There is a small sink, there is an electric stove, there are cutlery and there are cooking utensils. She didn't notice it earlier when they entered because her eyes were fixed on the man.

"He doesn't eat the food unless he sees you cooking it," said Mrs. Dapit. "So you cook him dinner in front of him. That's because he doesn't trust anyone nor anything." He just stared. Wow! I will also be a cook! This guy's personal cook! That is why the size of the salary offer.

It pointed to his right which he immediately thought about. There's a water hose hanging on the wall, some soaps and shampoos too.

His two eyebrows rose even higher and pointed to himself. "I'll take a bath too?" His eyes watered as he faced the old man again.

"No," she answered quickly and then pointed to the small cabinet next to the shower containers. "But his clothes are there, in case he makes a mess on your watch."

He breathed a sigh of relief. She does not want to stain her virgin eyes.

"The nurses and the doctors take care of him in the morning. They bathe him, feed him, give him his medications but they don't clean this room. You see, we are understaffed. And that's because we don't just hire people here Miss Madrigal. We meticulously pick our employees under certain and specific conditions. So it really baffles me why you're here. What did you have and did Jacoben take you? Ha? Tell me. "

He averted his gaze and clumsily bowed. "I do not know." They both question. Why is he here and why did Mr. accept him like that? Alonzo? More importantly, will he continue it?

He sighed at what he heard. She is going to be the nanny of one of the most dangerous patient in this Asylum. Now he knows why Mrs. Dapit and Mr. Alonzo. This is too dangerous for a girl like her. What if the madman in front of them gets moody and then gets out of the chain? What if he hypnotize her and make her cross the yellow line? If it is true that it can do that. What will happen to him?

"I'll give you until tomorrow to think about it Miss Madrigal," said Mrs. There was a reason to pity his deep thought. "Again, I want you to think about this carefully." He opened the white folder he had been holding and reached for a few pages of paper. "Here's your contract."

He gently took it from its hand. "In case of your sudden or untimely death here, your family will be well compensated. And we will also answer for your funeral. You can double check it. It's on page 5," he threatened.

Clearly, this old lady does not want her for this job. After all, what could he do to that madman? She will just get herself killed. And his corpse only adds work to the old man. Good heavens! What did I enter it for?

"If you still want this job, just sign it. If you don't," he stepped closer to her and looked at her emphatically with his eyes full of terror. "Never come back here!"

Disappointment filled her chest. This intimidating woman successfully discouraged her. He seems to have been having fun lately. She was so excited she got hired. He would love to call his mother to report it. But after knowing what her real job is, she was disheartened. Surely her mother would be glad to know that she had received him. This is what it likes. It will give her good daughter points to win her mother's heart. Because the size of the salary offer and they need money.

She wants her mother's love more than anything in the world so she really wants to do this for her. She has been alone her whole life it eats her. The darkness ... the loneliness ... She can't take it anymore. She needs someone to love her ... desperately.

He seemed to want to cry as he stared at the contract given to him. What will he do now? She feels lost.

He slowly raised his gaze to Mrs. Somewhere waiting for his answer. Then he turned to the man called V-03. His forehead furrowed when he noticed its black eyes staring hard at the lower part of his body. Her eyes widened when she realized what it was observing.

Her short pencil cut skirt didn't do much good today. Earlier, Mr. laughed at him. Alonzo because of this, now, this madman is feasting on his thighs.

She couldn't believe her eyes glazed over at the man. And he was even more terrified as it lifted its eyes to his chest. Mrs. Dapit saw that too so she laughed.

"Well, there's the other reason why you shouldn't come back here. Jacoben was right, our boy is now a man, and yeah, maybe boobs are the answer to our problem with him," he joked. But that's not funny at all. Because of! Has this man just seen a girl?

If before he felt pity and sadness for V-03, now he is also very annoyed. I hope not only the feet and hands are chained here, but also your neck. Then put on a blindfold too! My God! He didn’t help to cheer me up. Maybe I'll just back out!

She pulled down her skirt and stared at that maniac and then faced Mrs. again. Dapit. "Let me think about everything you said. Thank you."

Draw the dog-smile on the old man's lips. "Okay, but I really do hope you don't come back here. You're young, don't waste your life here. I mean it. Don't come back here." He just nodded but he was very reluctant.

Mrs. is getting better. Place to climb. But before they left that room, he thought about V-03 once more. It was also looking at him. There is something different in this guy. She can feel it.

They returned to the upperground and Mrs. delivered him. He went to the hospital lobby and politely said goodbye and went home.
