"Greetings, Alora." The leader of the men I had hired bowed as I gave him a quick nod.

 

"I hope you didn't kill him." I hissed as he shook his head.

 

"No, we didn't. We only beat him to stupor".

 

"Very well then, here you go." I mumbled, paying him his complete money as agreed.

 

He passed me a brief nod before leaving.

 

After Ethan betrayed me by ruining my wedding, I was bent on ruining him as well. The warlocks I sent to beat him up were just the beginning of his miserable life.
