Without sparing a second, I raced out of the hospital as I rushed to Rebecca's room.
I froze in shock the moment I stepped into her room.
Rebecca was curled on the ground, her hair disheveled, her eyes red-rimmed and puffy, as tears streaked down her face, making her look so hideous and vulnerable.
"Mother-in-law.". I mumbled as I drew the distance between us.
