Chapter 2

Chapter 2

She is no longer a live in their home. The moment her aunt and uncle learned what had happened to her parents, they snatched her up and carried her away. At first glance, my life appears to be going well, serene, and cheerful. I can lose track of the fact that I'm depressed.

Everything changed, though, when my aunt experienced financial difficulties. She owed a large sum of money to a friend, and she did not pay it up in installments over time. When her acquaintance discovered that she had not paid, he became quite enraged. After then, she was charged by the individual who owed her money. Because of what transpired, I was the one who fueled her resentment even further. On a daily basis, she said nasty things to me such as "devour" and I have nothing to contribute but I'm accustomed to the agony.

They keep on nagging, shouting, and crying out of frustration.

One morning, Rina woke up with a strong voice. She was tired from roaming around the city trying to find a job, but was sad to say she was not lucky enough to be hired, because all the companies she visited had no job vacancies. It's a tiring day for her. She wants to sleep all day to gain more strength, but this kind of person disturbs her.

They did not know about small talk. They were quarrelling about their husband's vices, including smoking, taking drugs, and other reasons why their business faced bankruptcy. Luckily, they don’t have any children. If they had, their children suffered a lot. This type of person was an example of an irresponsible individual. Rina is very thankful that she had very responsible parents. Even though they died earlier, they made sure that I had a source of income, which is my profession.

I graduated from secretarial school, so why is it so difficult for me to find work when I have all of my credentials and proof of eligibility? Maybe I'll try again some other time. And Rina decided to go outside because the noise would soon disappear. Then she saw her aunt sitting in the living room with an angry face.

"You bitch, her hands pointed at me. Look around and see what’s going on. Always remember this: you live alone now. Your parents are no longer here. No one will do the job for you." She said this with a very loud voice.

"I always wonder why your parents love you so much. They spoil you with so many beautiful things. But seeing you right now, nothing about you would be special. "

This woman tested her patient.

"Stop right here, you don’t have the right to question my parents' love for me," she shouted.

“You don’t have the right to lecture me about what I have to do or not because I live here with my own money, not being your family but being your roommate. And one more thing: Aunt Becca, I’m not your maid. Can’t you see I’m smoothly dealing with my own problem? So please spare me; don’t drag me into your misery." I grabbed my sling and walked out.

I rode a taxi and went to the city. My mood was ruined by that bitch of a woman. In my spare time, I stand in the city just to look at the lights, the families dragging their children down the street, the couples kissing, and the vendors going about their business. It is okay to be with strangers rather than mingling with your so-called family. I’m relaxed about seeing the busy street. I'm imagining things that will happen in the future.

Minutes passed. I may stop over at a lot of groceries to buy some food. I may be afraid of what my money will do if I don't spend it all this month. How can I provide for my daily needs if right now I am jobless?

I went over to the counter and handed the food to the cashier.

"150 PHP, miss," said the cashier.

"Here's my money," she said,

"Okay. The cashier replied.

I was about to go out when the cashier called me.

"Wait. Come back here, I have something to tell you."

"She came over,

"Here take this," and she handed me a newspaper. If you are interested, you should see for yourself. "She said with a smile,

This girl is kind and beautiful.

"Thank you. Have a good day, "she said.

"Okay,” the girl responded.

As Rina scanned the newspaper, the cashier was surprised that there were so many job vacancies. Then there was a job that caught her attention. A certain company was looking for a secretary. She came home and prepared her documents. She wants to visit the said company. She wanted to work.
