Fiona sighed, leaning her head against the doorframe. “Still, I hope she doesn’t ruin this for them. It’s just starting to get good, you know? I mean, look at them, they’re actually acting like a couple. It’s... sweet.”
Martins chuckled, his tone teasing. “Sweet? You’re getting soft, Fiona. Next thing I know, you’ll be rooting for a happily-ever-after.”
Fiona shot him a playful glare. “Oh, hush. You’re just as invested in this as I am. Don’t even try to deny it.”
He raised his hands as though surrendering. “Alright, alright. You got me.” They both chuckled.
