Episode 9

It was late in the afternoon when Trisha arrived at Kathryn and Lyon’s house. She stepped out of her car with purpose, her heels clicking sharply on the driveway as she walked toward the front door. Trisha had never been one to mince words, and today was no exception. She loved her sister, but she wasn’t convinced Lyon deserved the second chance Kathryn seemed willing to give him.

Before she could ring the doorbell, the door swung open, and Kathryn stood there, her expression quickly shifting from surprise to guarded irritation.

“What are you doing here, Trisha?” Kathryn asked, folding her arms across her chest.
