Gling! Wendy's phone buzzed on the table, the screen lighting up briefly. She picked it up, her perfectly manicured nails clicking against the device as she swiped to read the message.
“I've done as you said and I hope you keep your words too."
A slow, wicked smirk crept across her face, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction. She let out a low chuckle, the kind that made the others at the table pause.
