Today is the Alpha’s ball, we are being work extra hard, which It’s very frustrating, and to make matters worse, and Winter got separated today. I know that it’s going to be hard on Winter because today is her birthday, what a good way to spend it by setting up for this event, I felt that Mrs. Hicks could have at least given her day off, or something. Things never turn out the way you want them to. Especially for Winter, with everything that she had to endure, being betrayed by her father, and forced to grow up to become nothing but a slave. If others had experienced everything Winter had, they would end up being broken. But Winter, she took it head on, and became stronger, and I’m not saying that because she an Alpha. Hell, I’m a feisty omega, never back down from anyone including Alpha, and Luna.

I finish my chores earlier, so I went back to my room, and relax for a while, during that time I started to think about Winter. I know she feeling down, and depress about her birthday today. I wish that I could do something to make her day, but an idea came to mind. I got up off the bed and left out the room. I headed down the hall and went into the guest rooms there in the closet, I saw a lot of dresses, that belong to the Luna, I mean there were a lot, and some of them have not been worn. I started looking at each one until my eyes came across this beautiful sparkle red dress with one shoulder sleeveless, floor length with a slit on the side. I grab it and put it to the side the next thing is to find shoes, I found some gold ones with rhinestones in the middle perfect. I went over to the drawers, and check each section there I found brush, comb, and electric curlers. I gather everything up including the dress and hurry back to our room.

I placed the dress, and a towel on Winter bed, I had a brush, and comb in my hands, but before I could do anything else the door opened in came Winter. Once she has seen me, she stood there with a shocked look on her face, she turn her attention to the bed there she saw the red dress and a towel. She looked back at me, and ask “What all of this Emmily?”

I replied, “Tonight you are going to be Cinderella.”

“Stop joking Emmily” Winter stated.

“No joke at all, it’s your birthday, you need to be happy for once.”

“What is there to be happy about Emmily? I’m a slave, and I don’t have no mate out there so what’s the point?”

“ The point is you are going to experience happiness, even if it is just for one night, also you are only a slave if you claim it, so stop claiming to be something that you’re not and live a little.”

After I was done with my lecture Winter eyes widen, at the fact that I kind of told her off. When it all set in, she finally gave in she took the towel, and left out to go to the bathroom to shower, while she was doing that I was getting everything set up. Soon Winter came back in without wasting time, and we got right to it, when Winter put the dress on, I can see that it fit her so perfectly, that it show off her curves, what I can tell you is that Winter is thick in the right places, I cannot see how she was rejected. The next step was her hair, I comb, blow dry, and from there, I begin curling her hair.

When I finish I place the curlers down, and walk in front, when I did Winter looked up, at me I could not believe my eyes on how beautiful she looked. She definitely looked like she could be a princess. Her skin had this wonderful glow even though she not wearing makeup, her eyes are pretty dark green that seems to be full of life. I went over to my dresser, to retrieve some jewelry and a mask. I went back over to Winter, she looked at the stuff I had in my hands, so I explain to her.

“A few months before you arrive, Luna wanted to punish me so she had me cleaning up two of her guest rooms. Which was cluttered with a lot of junk, It was terrible, anyway so to get back at her, I took these items and kept them in my room. I thought she would have noticed, but she never did. I decided to save them, whenever a special day will come, and that day is today.”

“Thank you Emmily” she said with tears in her eyes.

“No problem, you deserve happiness Winter, don’t let anyone tell you differently. Anyway, we need to get you going before the party end, let’s finish up.”

Winter gave me a nod, I handed her the earrings, it was pearls and an emerald set, while Winter put the earrings on, I put on the necklace for her. From there we left the room, and we made it downstairs. Once we have seen that the coast was clear, we headed towards the hall, we stood right there I turn to Winter, and saw how nervous she was getting so I place my hand on her shoulder, which she relaxed.

“Winter everything going to be ok, here you need to put this on,” I said handing her a gold mask.

Winter took it, and she looked at me, and I spoke “It’s a masquerade ball, everyone will have a mask on so don’t worry you will do well.”

“There's another problem Emmily, how would I pull this off, they can pick up on my scent?”

“I got your back girl,” I told her as I pull out a bottle of a jar that contain clear liquid, and I pour it all over her.

“I just mask your scent, so no one will know it’s you, you are safe it’s time to go in now, remember to keep your head up high.”

Winter smiled, she was about to open the door, “Winter wait” she turn around to face me I respond “ I forgot to tell you this, from what I heard that at 1 a.m. everyone will unmask themselves,, you will need to leave by then.”

“Thanks for the heads up” Winter said opening the door, before she went in she turn to look at me one last time, I gave her a thumbs up, smile, and headed inside. Before I left I whisper “ Have fun, my friend.”
