Tonight is the Night of the Alpha’s ball, which every Alpha from the North side will be there, right alone with their Betas, and Lunas. I don’t see why I have to attend this event it’s the same old thing, but on different occasions. You have Alpha’s who feel the need to kiss up to me to get on my good side, their Lunas, are no different, every chance they get, they will rub their bodies up againstme, and attempt to flirt. I find all of this very disgusting, especially the she-wolves who think using their body to impress me, in my book that just shows how easy you are.

   There was a knock on my door that brought me out of my thoughts “Come in”.

  In come my Beta Solomon, Gamma Mathias, and my bestfriends ambling in while I’m putting my tire on, they stood there just staring, which was creeping me out. Few minutes later there was still silence, I could not take it no more.

“Why in the hell are you two staring at me?”

“Nothing, we just like to see you get all work up at all before attending functions” Solomon said.

“Don’t remind me, anyway where is this ball held at?”

“At the Voyage pack” Mathias reply.

“You kidding me right?” I asked looking disgusted.

“I wish I could say it, but it’s not a joke” Solomon stated.

“Great, of all packs why that one ?”

“Well Alpha persuade the council so they can host it this year what wrong?” Mathias asked.

I responded “Everything, The Alpha is real kick ass, and also an asshole, and his Luna, what can I say, from what I can tell she a slut, from all the males I could smell on her from the last gathering.”

“Do I really have to go to this thing?”

“Yes, you have too, after all you are the Alpha King, you not showing up is a sign of disrespect” Solomon stated.

“I don’t care what people think of me”

“You should your reputation is what defy you, you are ruthless, and you need to show people you are intimidated by anyone” Mathias uttered.

This is not my kind of thing, I don’t like big crowds-“

“Bull shit” shouted Mathias

I growled “ Watch it, disrespect your Alpha again I will buried you.”

“Sorry Alpha” Mathias said submitting.

“Look buddy, we all know you have not been right since Josefina. You push everyone away, you become bitter and ruthless. Everyone in the pack is starting to fear you. What I’m trying to say is that it’s time to move, and find happiness again”.

“ I don’t think so Solomon, I just want to do my job asking, and that it.”

“Never say never man, you just need to think on it, It’s a possibly you made get a second chance of love.”

“Whatever, let’s just go, and get this stupid event over with I said grabbing my coat.”

 When we reached the first floor, I was greeted by one of my maid Miss Rose. “Good even Alpha” She said while bowing.

“ Good even Miss Rose, remember I told you, you can just call me Castro. You don’t have to be formal with me, you are like a second mother to me.”

“ I’m sorry Alpha, I mean Castro, I do it out of respect.”

“It’s ok, I should be respecting you after all you help raise me, and I could always come to you for advice. But most of all you help me through the darkness time in my life.”

“ I was just doing my job Castro, part of it was looking after you” she said tearing up.

“Let me say you did an awesome job, and I could not ask for anyone better” I said while embracing her. It seem that we was hugging for a while until I heard someone clear their throat. Soon we broke from the hug it was Solomon that was standing there.

“Sorry to interrupt but we have to go, if we want to make it there on time.”

“You’re right Solomon, I’ll be out in a minute remind Mathias that he in charge while we are away.”

Solomon nod walking away, I look back at Miss Rose, “ I have to get going now”.

“Ok Castro becareful, before you go remember one thing Castro. Find it in your heart to love again, you deserve to be happy.”

“I will try Miss Rose” I said leaving out.

 We were putting up in front of the pack house still was not happy about this whole situation but I have no choice. When we got out of the limo,I begin to straighten up my blazer. I love the suit that I pick out I wore a white dress-up shirt with a black bow tie, and my blazer was black,  with a gold design decorated on my left side. I wore black dress pants, with matching shoes. To add finishing I place my hair in a ponytail and put a gold mask on. Solomon decided to wear a red suit, with a white dress shirt, with a red, and black mask.

   He placed his hair in a messy bun, when we reach the hall, inside the pack house immediately the crowd went silent, as soon as I walk in everyone bow their heads I walked further on. Then the music started everybody went back into their conversation. I and Solomon took a seat at a table, the minute we sat down we were greeted by Alpha, and Luna of the pack.

“Your majesty, we are so glad that you are here to grace us with your presence.”

“What a kiss ass,” Solomon said through the mind link.

“ I chuckle on the inside Thanks for inviting us Alpha Rockwood.”

“Please your majesty, just call me Nehemiah,” he said with a smirk.

“ This man is a total jackass,” my wolf Goliath said in my head.

“I would rather keep everything formal Alpha.”

“ Yes you’re majesty, I would like to introduce you to my Luna.” Alpha Rockwood stated.

“ It’s an honor to meet you, you’re majesty, I’m Luna Talia,” she said with a smile.

“We already had met Luna Rockwood, a couple of years ago.”

“Oh my apologies you’re majesty, I must have forgotten.”

“It’s ok, I said with a fake smile.

“We not going to hold you up your majesty, please enjoy the party,” Alpha said walking off with his Luna.

“ I thought they will never leave” Solomon spoke.

“Tell me about it man, did you see that sultry dress the Luna was wearing?” I ask feeling disgusted.

“Yeah, but the worse part, is that I smell a few men on her.”

“I’m glad I’m not the only one who notices.”

“It’s not a surprise Castro, almost half these she-wolves here stink of so many males, it’s ridiculous.”

“Anyway I’m about to go out for some air Solomon, when I’m gone try not to get into any trouble.”

“Yes Alpha” Solomon said doing a salute.

  I just rolled my eyes, walking off, I walk through the crowd, as I was walking on I notice many she-wolves licking their lips, while others blowing kisses my way. I just ignore it all, I was almost out the door, then it hit me a scent of Black cherry merlot. It’s kind of fainted but I can pickup on it, that the perks of being Alpha King. I follow it, and it lead me to a door of the balcony, the door was creek, and there stood a person who back was turn, I could tell it was a woman. From the reflection of the moonlight she looked so perfect when the wind blow, I smell more of her scent. I could feel Goliath jumping up, and down, she must had felt my presence, and turned to face me it was complete silence until she spoke “Who are you?”

The only word that I could get out was “Mate”.
