Robert was fuming over Alice's words.

He glared at his phone, muttering a few curses about her ungratefulness.

Eric pushed open the door, and the sight of Robert looking defeated made him burst with silent amusement. It was rare to see Robert in such a state. From childhood to adulthood, Robert was always the one teaching others a lesson. But when it came to Alice, he was always left speechless and frustrated.

Eric couldn't help but smile. It wasn’t that he was trying to mock Robert, but his lips just couldn’t hold back the grin.
