I pace inside my dorm room, waiting like a lovesick teen for Matthis to show up. But he hasn’t returned today. Why he’s being so stupidly stubborn doesn’t make sense. I know he wants me, yet he stays away from me more and more.

Since I can’t concentrate on my schoolwork, I pull on my coat and stuff my feet into my winter boots. I’ll check on David, then see if he wants to take a stroll outside. Our snowball fight was a nice, normal thing, and something I want right now to keep my mind off a brooding demon and a missing vampire.
