"So he's the Chosen Alpha after all." He chuckled with a shake of his head. Nuri sat on a sofa nearby sipping from a cup of strong tea. Her eye darting between the two vampires occasionally.

"Yes, my Lord." Felix replied. "I saw the mark on him. As clear as day."

"And you're sure you weren't followed."

"Yes, my Lord."

"That's good, Felix. You have done well." Dominic nodded. "As for our friend, the principal. His recklessness almost gave us a bit of trouble. Dispose of him as soon as possible. We don't need his services any longer."
