"That was close!" Dave sighed after narrowly escaping from a close encounter with the ladies. He dipped one of his hands in his left back pocket, only to bring his hand out empty. He couldn't believe it therefore, he dipped his hand again and tried to search more carefully this time. However, he arrived at the previous result.

There was no ring in his pocket. He has misplaced it. Worst of all, he had no idea where the ring could be lying and waiting for him to find it.
