Maggie cleaned her tears with the back of her palms when Dave began talking. However, Dave did not speak for long. He wanted to hear from her before he could go on to reveal his secret. 

"Would you mind telling me?" This time, he inched close enough to her. He maintained a sympathetic look on her. It was such a tense scene in the sense that Maggie was breaking down emotionally.

"I'm an adult now, but my wolf is yet to show. I have done all I have been told to do yet, and nothing seemed to be happening." She remained silent afterward in deep regret.
