It took Dave a while before he put Maggie in order. Maggie had suffered a reaction as a result of her mixed emotions.

She looked at Dave shortly. He held her arms close to his chest. They were both sitting on the bed at the same time.

He compelled her to open up. "What's the matter with you, Maggie?"

She lifted her soar face at last. "Tom just called."

"I know about that because, you told me. But, I don't know why he called. And you have so far refused to open up to me. Is there any problem?"
