"Maggie, are you there? Open up quickly, it's me," whispered a voice from the outside.

At once, Maggie's fears disappeared temporarily. She recognized the voice that had called on her to open the door.

She jumped from the bed and moved away from the heavy property she had used to support the door. In a matter of seconds, she opened the door.
