AMAYA.

The dorm was a place where time seemed to slow down, 

Outside, the winter wind howled through the ravine, but inside, the air was warm and smelled of cedar, old books, and the lingering scent of the three men who had claimed me as their own.

My side throbbed with a dull ache, a reminder of the claws that had almost taken everything at the hockey arena. But as the sun began to peek through the frost-covered windows of the room, it wasn't the physical wound that kept my mind racing. 

It was the silence.
