Javier's POV 

 She shows up at 6:03 PM.

 I know because I've been watching the clock since 5:45, trying not to be obvious about it. Trying to pretend I'm not waiting for her like some lovesick puppy. But the bond hums under my skin, alerting me the second her car pulls into the parking lot of our apartment complex.

 Alvaro bolts for the door before she can even knock.

 "Dude," Luciano says from the kitchen, not looking up from the chicken he's seasoning. "At least let her get to the door first."

 "She's here," Alvaro says, like that explains everything. Maybe it does.
