Arnou stopped his steps for a moment. In the darkness, he looked at Alaris' face. He was hesitant to tell her the real reason for helping Alaris. That woman must not know.

"Hmm, nothing. I just wanted to help you. Besides, I really don't like the actions of that rogue wolf pack."

Alaris shook her head several times. She could not believe that was the main reason Arnou was helping her. The man still held many secrets that she did not know yet.
