Alec stopped before a little, well-used house tucked at the very end of a peaceful suburban street. Unlike the tempest building behind the door he was to rap on, the cleanly manicured lawn and flowers he was standing on were evidence of people within who valued their solitude and dependability.
Marcus's directions had been fairly clear: locate Edith's former nanny, Cecilia Hart, then get the data. Still, Alec felt a twitching in his fingers as he raised it to knock.
