Tension was pervasive in the gathering hall of the pack settlement. The fallout was immediate after a piece was published earlier that morning. Like vultures, the human media seized upon it, spreading tales of corruption, clandestine activities, and the "shadowy underbelly" of the werewolf society.

The damage was done regardless of how much of it was fabricated or exaggerated. The already brittle public trust has suffered a serious blow. Direct action was the only way to combat it.
