My floor to ceiling windows allowed much sunlight into my office, but it did not help the unease that was growing inside of me. For days, Lily's strange behavior had bothered me: the acid in her recent comments, avoiding eye contact, and most of all, the way she would turn protective when Aiden's name was mentioned.
