Chapter 1

Chapter 1

Everyone was ecstatic because it was almost nighttime. When the Goddess came to their facilities, everyone cheered. It was a miracle for Gael and Ivy. They were just ordinary people who always made something like this for the Goddess to see. They described her as a beautiful maiden with a flower crown, a white dress with sleeves, and the ability to float. Everyone is intrigued by the way she floats. Someone who has bestowed blessings.

They strewn rose petals on the path the Goddess would go to bless them with her never-ending grace. Everyone was ecstatic and joyful because the Goddess had returned.

When the Goddess appeared in the middle of her path, floating above the scattered rose petals and looking at them, they all bowed. Everyone was astounded by the Goddess's grace and beauty. She had incredibly long hair and white eyelashes.

"It's nice to see you again, your grace," Gael said. He was the leader of the tribe, and they'd been long gone, serving the Goddess with all their might and all they had. They believed that she was the reason they were in good health.

Everyone was overjoyed that the Goddess had showered a blessing on them once more. It was a happy day for Gael's tribe, but the Goddess became aware that the man she adored was with someone else, kissing a lady's belly, and she was pregnant. Gael noticed the man who used to work for him was with someone else as he looked where the Goddess was looking.

They were all aware that the Goddess adored him.

The woman and the man were unsure what the Goddess would do, but she placed her hand on the woman's stomach.

"How many months is that person pregnant?" the lovely goddess inquired.

"Speak up! The Goddess has chosen you," Gael instructed.

"It's been eight months, your grace," he remarked, smiling at both himself and the woman.

"May I bestow a blessing on a child?" said the Goddess.

Everyone was holding the baby's father, who groaned in anguish. Everyone was in the dark about how he felt and what the Goddess was doing to him.

The Goddess censed her belly, causing the woman to cry and writhe in misery on the floor. The Goddess let her baby out, and it multiplied into puppies when there should have been only one.

The Goddess rose into the skies once more, and the light pursued her. Her eyes were closed, but when they opened, they were bright and she began speaking in a deep and high-pitched voice.

"If a man and a woman have a son and a daughter after this prophecy is made, they will both die, and the firstborn of this prophecy will be living proof that you are destined to be with each other."

"Even if they both love each other, they will not have a single child; only your true mate will fulfill the opportunity to have a seed."

"You will howl for the moon, and the moon will give you strength, but the curse will follow you until the ants eat your bodies."

"Anything made of metal or silver will cut through your skin."

"You will not perish now, but your child's child and grandchild will perish because they will not have the opportunity to choose who they want to marry."

Everyone was scared. Everyone had been warned of the Goddess's lack of patience. They never believed them, yet the rumors were true. These actions demonstrated what Gael's tribe believed to be false, but it was long gone. The full moon had risen, and the Goddess had spoken once more.

"It can only be undone when someone who is hiding gains the courage to reveal their true nature."

Except for the pregnant lady and the man the Goddess fell in love with, everyone was gradually converting into wolves and losing their minds as the Goddess gave her orders through their minds. Someone attacked the Goddess from behind as she was ready to step down. The Goddess did not bleed, but her heart was broken, as were her emotions. The Goddess was taken aback and questioned everyone and what he had done to her.

The Goddess entered their heads and told them to attack the lady and the guy she used to love, causing the tribe to rip their bodies apart. She hovered in the air once more, this time vanishing. She knew she would never return, but her words and the curse she bestowed on those she once loved remained.

"That's how you guys were cursed." Said, Gael

"It wasn't possible, grandfather," the other boy said. Then they both look at him with a strange stare.

"What are you doing here, Liam? You're all grown up!" Gael said, and Liam felt like he was flashed with some water and almost woke up.

Present day...

The La Sierra Empire was ruled by the Alpha, Liam Koam Hamilton, who remained in power for many years. Odette Henderson, his mate, was known for being a Luna with grace, beauty, and elegance. They were a content pair. Everyone who came their way told them they were a good match.

Then, after years of being together since they were children, Odette was sick of mating with Liam and not having a kid. They were inextricably linked. Everything changed when Odette decided to change her religion.

"We are gathered here to witness the untying ceremony of Odette and Liam Hugh."

The hall was full of commotion, and everyone was left with questions about what had been wrong.

"I accept the removal of ties," Liam said.

Which made everyone more shocked. Liam even heard others say that it would be his loss for agreeing to such removal, and some knew why the ceremony was done.

"Are you sure you don't have any objections?" The elder said

Odette flashed a grin and a joyous heart for being able to be free of the Alpha who was infertile and clung to the arm of the man next to her.

"No objections, but I want to be paired with another Luna," Liam said, and Odette's grin vanished.

Everyone was shocked as they all followed where the hand of the Alpha was pointed to. Then a beautiful maiden appeared in that direction. Liam was captivated as well, revealing this wonderful girl that he made a deal with to be his guest but not as his temporary mate.

But Liam was expecting her to run and he would understand, but he was surprised when the lovely girl walked toward him. Odette realized what she had lost. Liam held the maiden's hand and was thankful that the girl was quite cooperative.

Everyone was unsure and confused about what was going on, but no one was mesmerized as much as Liam was by the maiden in front of him when her hand touched his.
