Emily’s POV

The bedroom door clicked shut, and I let out a long, shuddering breath I felt like I’d been holding for ten minutes.

Daniel walked back into the dim glow of the master suite, tying his silk robe loosely around his waist. He looked completely unbothered on the outside, but the slight twitch in his jaw gave him away instantly.
