He could see the sadness in her eyes, she stopped eating and walked to where he is seated with trembling legs

“I wasn't joking when I told you that you are mine, Oliver said, his voice filled with anger as she trembled on hearing his cold tone.

She looked away from him and looked at the ground. She couldn't look at him because she knew if she looks at him, she'll be crying

Oliver stood up and walked toward her, she flinched at his movement, he stopped in front of her and looked at her head on

“Look at me, Kate” he said sternly but softer than before

Kate refused to lift her head and still refused to look at him.

Oliver sighed and kneel before her. He held both of her hands and lifted her head, so she would face him.

Kate's eyes were swollen, tears were falling from her eyes, her lip quivered, and she can hear her heartbeat beating faster

Oliver caress her cheek with his thumb and wipe away her tear, his thumb lingered on her cheek for longer than normal

“I won't hurt you” he whispered

Kate nodded her head and started sobbing loudly. Oliver put his arms around her waist and pull her to him while rubbing her back softly.

Kate POV

I sobbed loudly as Oliver hug me and pat my back softly, I couldn't believe he will be this nice to me

He is always harsh, but seeing him act like this makes me feel differently

He pulled away from me and stood up, and said

“ go freshen up, he said before walking out of my bedroom

Oliver POV

I walked out of Kate bedroom and let out a heavy sigh, trying to figure out what just happened in there

“Was I being nice to her? No, that is impossible, I felt my cold heart melted for a moment there, and I hated the feeling.

My heart aches, my chest is getting tight, and I hated the way I felt back there.

I walked down the stairs, seeing Xander and some of my men in my living room

“Good morning boss, they all greeted me simultaneously as I nod my head in response to their greetings before sitting on the couch

Xander sits beside me and I looked at him confusedly. He was staring at me with a weird look on his face.

“What?” I asked him annoyed.

“You were acting strange yesterday,” he said looking at me intently

I huffed and sat up straight

“What do you mean? I was perfectly fine, don't worry your stupid brain.”

He shook his head and chuckled.

“Whatever you say boss, we've been waiting for you go ahead to kill Malik, Xander said

After I finished my shower I wrapped myself in my robe and went to my room, I changed into my casual outfit, a black to shirt and gray pants, I slipped into my combat boots and grabbed my gun and ammo pack before heading downstairs.

“Where are you going, boss?” I heard Xander question me

“To interrogate that mule that betrayed me, ” I replied as I headed outside.

My bouncers open the car for me as I entered, the car alighted in my warehouse, and parked in front of the building, I got out of the car and made my way inside the building, I walk inside the elevator and pressed the button for the top floor. Once the doors closed, I lean against the wall and close my eyes.

Once the elevator door opened, I walked out and made my way to where Malik was, I couldn't recognize him due to the blood covering his body.

“You won't get any information from me, Malik said as he looks at me

I smirk and walk toward him and grab him by his collar, I slam his face against the wall, I pull him up and punch his jaw multiple times.

“Tell me or die!” I snarl at him.

“I rather die, he answered stubbornly

“You'll get the information I want, I sneer at him

Malik glared at me and left out a groan before answering me

“Like I told you earlier, I rather die than to tell you anything, so what are you waiting for, go ahead and kill me, he yelled in pain as I punched his stomach and his head.

I took out my gun and aimed it at him.

“Then I'll do it for you” I smirked before pulling the trigger, Malik fell limp on the floor as his blood pool around him.

I picked his body up and carry it to a table, I placed him on the table and removed his clothes.

I took out a knife and cut his throat, I cleaned the blood off the knife and put it back in its holster.

My clothes are covered in blood as I exit the warehouse, My driver, and guards followed closely behind me.

I approached her slowly, she kept her head down and started backing away from me.

“Kate, please stop” I said trying to convince her to calm down, I reached my hand forward, she flinched at my touch but didn't move.

I put my arm down and tried to reach towards her shoulder, but she jerked back again, and ran up the stairs to her room

Kate POV

I run up the stairs as fast as possible as I can. Tears are streaming down my face as I tried to hide them.

I ran past every door in the hallway, all the rooms are locked which make me panic a little bit, I keep running until I reach my room.

I slammed the door shut once I entered my room, I closed the door behind me and leaned my back unto it as I slide down to the ground.

I buried my face into my knees as tears falls from my eyes, I was sobbing loudly.

Kate POV

I entered the bathroom to wash off malik's blood, I stinks and needed to feel refreshed.

I went straight to the shower and turned on the water. the water felt heavenly, it relaxed me.

As the hot water cascaded onto my body, I washed everything that was covered in blood away.

I washed my hair after I was done washing my body, I put shampoo on my head and rubbed it vigorously.

I washed my body and dried myself with a towel.

I then changed into a pair of simple wear, a plain black shirt, and gray joggers.

I walked out of the bathroom and I sat on the couch, my feet resting on top of my bed

I'm patiently waiting for Kate, she should be here any moment

She saw me in blood, it's something I shouldn't bother myself about but then I keep thinking about it and how scared Kate was earlier.

Suddenly there was knocking at the door, I knew who it was immediately.

"come in, I said, Kate entered slowly, it was as of she was counting her steps as her legs trembled at every step she took.

Her beautiful blond hair was wet and beads of sweat formed on her forehead. Her eyes were red and puffy, she was crying.

She looked like a mess.

"Are you okay, Kate?" I asked gently trying not to scare her even more, she just nodded.
