Chapter 8 Do you know what it means to be a hit not

I thought my heart had gone numb, but at the sight of this scene, I was still viciously abused.

At least he had never kissed me with such emotions.

"Yo, isn't this Dr. Watson? What a coincidence, bringing your mistress to the bar for fun."

Niki roared beautifully and instantly drew a lot of attention to her.

When the two mouths finally parted, Watson stiffened and turned around, only to finally see his legal wife standing a few meters away from me, his eyes strangely fixed.

"Grace?" Miranda whispered as she got out of Watson's arms, like she couldn't believe it was me.

I thought I understood what they were surprised about.

Once upon a time, I was not a dresser and dressed plainly. Because I knew I was financially limited, I thought I could be as frugal as possible.

The funny thing is, all I got in return for my frugality was a heartless betrayal.

Today, Niki transformed me from head to toe, and I didn't even recognize myself in the mirror, so it's not surprising that they were surprised that they never looked up to me.

"Dr. Watson has a good eye, and Junior looks really good, a standard plastic surgery face."

Niki's words mocked both Junior and Watson, Miranda's face instantly became ugly, and Watson's face was no better.

"Grace, you've lost your job, and you still have money to come to this kind of place for fun, it seems you don't even want mom anymore." Miranda probably saw that Niki was not to be messed with and started to hit me back.

She mentioned my mother really made my heart blocked, Niki did not say anything and took a big step to go over, I saw her stance is not right, as if to hit her, hurried to pull her back, a soft smile, step by step to stand in front of Watson.

"Grace, what are you doing?"

Miranda pulled Watson very tightly, as if afraid that I grabbed the man with her, I think she probably forgot that the man belongs to me now, but I do not care about this anymore.

I stuffed a piece of gum into Watson's suit pocket and reminded him very kindly.

"Watson, chew before kissing, it is respectful to the lady."

Perhaps my disinterest irritated him, and Watson's brow knitted up at once.

What kind of a man was he? Even if he kicked me out, he still wants me to be like the old days, centered on him, even hugging his pant leg and praying to him so he can satisfy his manly vanity and sense of accomplishment.

But I won't, I just have to show that I don't care, half of it.

Successfully seeing him change his face, I turned around in style, not intending to linger much longer.

"Grace, what qualifications do you have to drag? Just a yellow-faced woman who was kicked out by her husband." Miranda continued to provoke me from behind me.

I stopped in my tracks and felt a breath of air blocking my heart for a moment.

She was just a bitchy mistress who stole someone's husband, so what right did she have to shout here?

I froze in place, feeling that my hard-earned strength was about to collapse, but I was suddenly swept up by an arm and walloped against the wall.

"I chewed." Christian's face was close to mine, his eyes fixed on my lips, and he said hoarsely.

The moment Christian kissed me, my head went blank.

His lips were so soft, and his slightly cool fingers lifted my chin, layer by layer from shallow to deep, curling the chicken skin on my body again and again.

I forgot to resist, and I didn't cater.

"Wow!"

Someone not far away made an exclamation, followed by applause and whistles in quick succession.

My sanity finally returned, and Christian ended the kiss just at that moment.

He stared at me from a very close distance, and his deep, sea-like eyes had a hint of incomprehensible tenderness.

"Love the way you taste, unique."

His voice was sexy as hell, giving me the illusion at that moment that he and I were really boyfriend and girlfriend.

In my panic, I saw Watson's face harden to the point of embarrassment.

"There aren't many women who can make Christian hold his hand."

I turned my head and saw a man in a plaid shirt walking toward us. He had one hand in his pocket, one hand holding a cigarette, and he spoke with a particularly flippant expression in the smoke.

This man struck me as the one who had been on the highway that night, saying that Christian had left them behind and driven off. It's normal that he didn't remember me, after all, I was a different person that day than I am today.

He looked at me playfully and smiled, and tapped Christian on the shoulder.

"Christian , I'm waiting for you at the poker game upstairs."

Christian didn't turn around, just tugged his lips down and his breath hit my forehead.

"Karle , of course a beautiful woman is more important than a poker game, go upstairs first and wait for me."

My face instantly flushed to my ears, and the Karle didn't say anything else, humming away.

"Grace, don't forget you're married." Watson finally snapped in a voice that could not be tolerated.

Niki, who was leaning against the wall with her hands copied, snorted a laugh and tossed her short, dark hair.

"Say it as if you are not a married man."

The onlookers who had just seen the relationship couldn't help but laugh, and I really had a hard time understanding how Watson had the face to say that.

Miranda's bitchy mistress took the opportunity to fan the flames, "Watson, you should now believe it, she is simply unfaithful, in front of you dare to do so, lowly."

I know she also knows what the word "cheap" means in this world.

What can I say except that I feel ridiculous.

To tell the truth, I felt painful to see Watson's green face.

I reached out and gently took Christian's arm under Watson's angry gaze: "Aren't we going to play cards? Let's go!"

Christian's body stood up straight and looked at me with a doting gaze, "Let's go."

I thought Christian did not care about the two words Miranda had just called me, but he stopped when he brushed past them, and his eyes fell on Miranda's body.

"Do you know what it means to be cheap? If you don't know, go look in the mirror."

Niki puffed out a laugh and gave Watson a sidelong glance.

"Didn't you come out to play? Bet money, have the balls to come?"

I believe Watson will not accept Niki's provocation, after all, he does not have the hobby of gambling, much less the capital to gamble.

The moment the elevator door closed, the loud music outside was also isolated, Christian's long fingers pressed the light 9.

I thought the play has finished so it was not appropriate to hold him, but he seems to have predicted that. His other hand clasped on the back of my hand to prevent me from releasing.

The warmth of his palm came to my face in a flash from the back of my hand.

I was so embarrassed! Especially since Niki was looking at me with a very mushy look in her eyes, and probably caught the opportunity to question me again.

The chess room on the ninth floor was huge, and many people knew Christian, and as soon as we got up there, many people greeted him and looked at me curiously.

I let go of him while he was talking to someone, and luckily he didn't stop me again.

Christian took my hand, naturally and openly, when Karle , who was playing cards, waved at us.

When we got to Karle 's table, their game was just about over, and several people stood up to give up their seats, only Karle was still sitting, with a cigarette in his mouth, shuffling his cards.

Niki loves fun and is not unfamiliar with this occasion so he found a seat first.

"It's been a long time since I've played cards, I'll come too."

Karle lighted a cigarette, lightly whistled towards Niki and smiled, "beautiful women come together, of course welcome."

"Will you play?" Christian suddenly asked me with a sideways glance.

I shake my head frankly.

"I'll teach you." Christian pinned me down in my chair.

I immediately had to stand up, not only because I didn't know how to play, but also because I didn't have any money with me. I didn't know how big they were playing, and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to afford to lose.

Christian squeezed my shoulder and smiled as if he had read my mind.

"Don't worry about playing, it's on me if you lose."

"Watson, you really have the guts to come, have you brought enough money? Or do you want to use the woman beside you as a bargaining chip?"

As soon as Niki said that, I turned around in shock and saw Watson and Miranda coming this way.

Little did I know at the time that my sky would collapse this night!
