Chapter 5 An Awkward Encounter

Chapter 5 An Awkward Encounter

The call was from Christian.

I didn't know what Christian was calling me for. The call came at the right time, a kind of providence that forced me to meet them in this extremely awkward scene.

I calmly opened the door and picked up the phone as I walked out.

"Where are you?" Christian asked me on the other end of the line.

"I'm at the hospital!" I returned briefly and hung up the phone, staring hard at the wretched pair of dogs in front of me.

Miranda was sitting on the sink. Her skirt was pulled up, her panties hanging around her ankles, and Watson's pants were down to his calves with his penis tightly attached with her hole.

It probably froze for several seconds before Watson pulled out and scrambled to lift his pants.

Miranda, however, was annoyed and jumped off the sink, lifting her panties up.

"Grace, now that you've seen it. It saved us the trouble of informing you that I'm with Watson and that I'm pregnant. You divorce him as soon as you can."

I froze! No wonder he was in a hurry to get rid of my baby yesterday.

Oh!

I glared at Watson, who was a little afraid to look at me.

"Doing that intensely when you're pregnant. How nasty!"

Miranda grunted, holding Watson and looking at me arrogantly.

"He just likes to do it with me, what? You're incapable of attracting your man, and you blame someone else?"

I laughed in exasperation, "Miranda, I really don't have your ability to smell that shit and scream for sex."

Miranda looked insulted and raised her hand to hit me, Watson grabbed her hand and said to me.

"Come to my office."

Yesterday, I was afraid to come face to face with him. After all, he is not human, but a beast. But now I'm not afraid, because people always become braver after despair.

There were many people waiting in front of the office door, and when Watson opened it, I stared at his back and said, "Watson, if you have something to say, I have nothing to hide."

I said it quite loudly, just deliberately wanted to lose his face.

Watson frowned and looked back at me, reached out and pulled me in with one hand and closed the door with a bang.

He sat down behind his desk, the embarrassment still on his face, and took half a glass of water before he finally looked at me and said, with a false sense of humor, "You're not in the best shape to be out here."

I laughed mockingly several times in a row and looked at him sadly.

"Watson, did I hear you right? Is this your concern for me? Concerned about the original spouse you're about to divorce her?"

Watson's brow furrowed deeply, his hands propped up on the table, fingers crossed.

"Grace, calm down, there's nothing I can say since it's come to this. Let's get a divorce!"

I guess this pair of sluts had been hooking up for more than a day or two, and Watson, who had been pretending quite well before, was suddenly tearing off his mask because he was desperate to give the pregnant Miranda a name.

But I didn't want to do what he wanted.

"What if I say no? I admit I Grace at first liked you is because I was blind. Divorce is impossible. If you really want to marry her despite, you can commit bigamy. I can let you sit spend your life in the jail."

At the end of the day I could barely control my emotions and roared out.

Watson tugged at his collar in annoyance.

"You're too excited now. We'll talk when you've calmed down. My mind is made up, and we're going to have the baby in Miranda's belly."

He mentioned the baby, and my heart ached violently as I remembered the black plastic bag he'd carried in his hand when he left last night.

"It was your baby you killed last night, too. Watson, you're going to get what's coming to you."

Watson pulled his lips down, disbelievingly.

I went up to the dean's office on the fifth floor to take my leave. Even though I had just had a miscarriage, I had to return to work. I could not rely on men. I could only rely on myself. I had to make money. My mother needed money for her illness. The doctor had said that there was still hope for my mother to wake up.

When I saw that Miranda was also in the office, I wanted to turn around immediately, but after struggling for a while I still walked ahead.

Miranda swept me a light glance and seemed to sneer, then took a cup and went to the water fountain to pour water.

After I explained to the dean the reason for my visit, he hesitated for a while before saying.

"Grace, it's like this. The other day we received continuous complaints from patients about your work attitude, and according to the hospital's rules, you've been fired."

I haven't even worked for a few months, and I can't believe that someone continuously complained about me?

"Dad, drink some water!" Miranda placed the water in front of the dean.

It was true that the director of St. Louis Hospital was Miranda's father, but I thought he had at least some integrity, and it seemed I was naive.

I felt a little dizzy when turning to leave, but tried to keep my head up.

It's not that I didn't want to fight for myself, I just didn't want to be too humble in front of the bitch.

I didn't expect Watson to be standing right outside the door. It seems he knew about my dismissal, or more accurately, he was one of the people behind it.

I treated him like air and walked past him to continue on my way.

At the corner leading to the hospital wing, I was yanked by the hand.

"Grace, if you still have a face, disappear automatically. Watson is the father of my child, stop being pestering him."

I looked down, at the black-nail hand on my arm, and just felt my stomach roll, shaking her off in disgust.

Watson came over and pulled Miranda in, looked at me without a trace of emotion, pulled a bank card out of his pocket and handed it over.

"Here is $10,000, after you sign the divorce papers and move out of the house, I will tell you the password."

Even the card was ready, so he had prepared a lot for this day!

I wasn't going to take the card, I just glared at them angrily.

I didn't expect Miranda to pull the card from Watson's hand and fling it at my face.

Her action was so sudden that I was completely unprepared.

The cold card cut the corner of my eye, and it hurt.

"Watson, ten thousand dollars to pay for your conscience? Even if your conscience is cheap, but how can you afford to pay for my buried youth?"

I tried to keep my tone calm, but I couldn't control the trembling in my voice.

Watson, after all, knew that the fault was his own, and in the face of my accusations, he pushed his mouth out, somewhat unable to speak.

Miranda, however, laughed contemptuously, "Youth? Grace, don't be funny. A man who marries someone as uninteresting as you might as well be a monk."

Hearing this, I darted a look at Watson, whose face flashed briefly with embarrassment. It seemed that he had told her about my sleeping in a separate room from him.

I looked at him for a moment in disappointment and then turned to Miranda.

"Yes, the man who married me might as well be a monk, but he's no more than a pile driver for you."

Miranda became irritated and rushed over like a madman. I was unprepared and was pushed to the floor by her.

The corner was piled with medical waste, and there was a lot of glass on the floor, so I fell down out of instinct and used my hands to support the ground, and both palms were stuck in the glass, and my back and legs were also cut in several places.

I gritted my teeth and didn't grunt.

The tug caused more and more people to look over at us.

Miranda still wanted to come over and hit me, but Watson pulled back.

"Okay, Miranda, don't do that."

He didn't want to make a big deal out of it; after all, he was a man who loved to save face.

"What? You're heartbroken?" Miranda choked him acidly.

Watson didn't dare say anything back, but I laughed.

"I've been married to him for at least two years. Isn't it normal for him to feel sorry for me?"

"Shame on you!" Miranda pushed Watson away and raised her hand to come over and hit me.

I couldn't stand up, therefore I was about to take the slap hard.

But her slap didn’t come for a long while, and I opened my eyes to find her wrist was steadily squeezed by another hand.
